What a way to end the week with AMAZING 5-star review for our team!

At the beginning of this year, we completed a full house refurb, loft conversion and front dormer creation project in Motherwell.

The house was in need of a lot of modernisation, as it hadn’t been improved in many years.

We had actually carried out minor works in the property on previous occasions as the house was passed onto other family members that we have also done work for before.

The renovation and new loft & dormer has made this a fantastic family home for many years to come, giving the property a new lease of life.

We are making great progress on our 5-bed detached house build in Carluke…🤩

The team have been working hard in recent weeks to get this build out of the ground and up to the roof truss stage.

This plot was not an easy one to deal with due to the gradient of the existing land. With the plot levelled, we have been able to complete the foundations, underbuild, solum, steelwork and ground floor timber kit stages to get these fantastic trusses into position.

As Carluke is rural, this will be a lovely 1.5 storey property which will be in-keeping with the other properties in the street.

It will have a large combined Kitchen, Dining & Living area to the rear, with separate Utility, formal Lounge, double Garage, downstairs WC, Office / Bedroom on the ground floor, with another 4 Bedrooms, family Bathroom and 2 Ensuites on the first floor.

This new stunning home will sit within its own large plot which will provide over 400m2 of garden space to the rear, with loads of ample parking to the front.

The exterior will be a nice blend of feature stone, smooth render, Cedral cladding and Anthracite Grey windows and doors.

What an AMAZING 5-star review to start the week to!

Our team recently completed a double storey extension in Cambuslang, and as you can see the customers “were consistently impressed” by the team!

“We recently completed a two-storey, 90 m² extension with ABS, and the process could not have been easier. We had seen ABS’s work at several properties in the area and were consistently impressed by the quality of their workmanship and the progress achieved from week to week.

When we received planning permission, we knew we did not want to work with anyone other than ABS. I contacted Dale in January 2025 to discuss the project; as ABS already had existing contracts in place, we waited until September 2025 to begin the build, but it was absolutely the right decision to wait for the contractor we wanted rather than the one who could start soonest.

The tender stage was very clear, with ABS producing a detailed document that outlined the cost of each aspect of the project, the contract protections for both builder and client, and the payment terms.
During the build, the competence of ABS staff and subcontractors was clear to see.

Dale project-managed the whole build, with the right materials and trades arriving on site like clockwork. ABS were open to delivering the exact materials and specification we wanted, including specific sandstone, picture windows, and traditional Crittall doors.

We had the pleasure of working with a range of ABS site staff, including Brian, Stephen, Gary, and Lewis; however, the mainstays for us were Martyn and Joe, who were on site for most of the build. Their work rate, professionalism, and personalities were a joy to have on site.

Our project was delivered on time and on budget. Despite the relatively large scale of the build, it was essentially stress-free, with everything happening as it should and when it should. I have no doubt this was due to the hands-on way Dale and Brian manage every project.

We cannot recommend ABS highly enough: they are transparent, competent, and experienced in delivering complex projects. Thank you to the whole ABS team.”

Although we've been quiet on our socials recently due to how busy we have been, our newest member of the team has been breaking ground on our new development project!👀

It’s taken him quite some time to get this far with his little digger, but now that he’s called in reinforcements from the big guys, we're well underway! 👷🏠

We recently carried out a larger renovation and alteration project local to our base in Cambuslang.

We reconfigured both the basement and ground floor areas, to alter the layouts to make the spaces better suit the clients' needs.

The project wasn't without its curveballs as the property was an older Sandstone style home, but that's where our team's experience comes into its own.

As we come to the end of the 2025 working year, we would like to say how extremely grateful we are to all of our clients, suppliers, subcontractors, partners and our staff for all of their input and support this year! 😀

We've yet again had an incredibly busy and successful year and one which tops all previous years! Our company continues to go from strength to strength and we couldn't do it without our incredible staff! Team ABS has grown in size again this year and we are grateful to have each and every one of our hard-working and fantastic team - both on the tools and in the office.

Although we are all looking forward to a well-earned break over the festive period, we also can't wait to get started on 2026, which is shaping up to be an even bigger year again. 😀
