Let's address the myths that still circulate about electric vehicles. With insight from a team who genuinely live with EVs every day. Some of our staff have been driving electric for over a decade, long before it became mainstream.

Here's what we know from real experience:
❌ "EVs don't work in Scotland's cold weather."
✔️ They do.

Our team have driven through countless Scottish winters — frost, snow, and everything in between. They hold up. (See above for proof.)

And here's what often gets overlooked: the majority of charging happens at home. Overnight. Sorted.

⚡ New home charger install completed

We’ve just fitted a Ratio EV io5 for a customer who recently switched to an EV for work 🚗⚡

They can now manage their charging schedule through the Ratio app and take full advantage of cheaper overnight tariffs 🌙🔌

Although this install used a Ratio unit, we’re fully hardware agnostic, meaning we work with a wide range of chargers to match each home, budget, and energy tariff.
