The first of many!
This morning we attended our first Safety Partnership Forum at the University of Glasgow joined by Design Teams, FM, Estates representatives and other FW Contractors. 🦺 👷‍♀️

All brought together for a common goal - to enhance the safety partnership. 🏗️

A collaboration of University staff and framework members - sharing topics including but not limited to;
Lessons learnt 🧑‍🏫.
Best practice ✔️.
Adopting tech in H&S 📱🧑‍💻📡
Vehicles of communication 📱 💻 📰 🗣️.
Challenges & ECI 🧐 🏗️.

Great to be part of the discussion and able to contribute to such a fundamental part of what makes a Construction project tick ✅.

It’s a signage and branding day on our socials today it would appear! 😂

A visit to Hamilton Park Racecourse this morning to prepare for our staff afternoon next week for the Lanark Silver Bell 🔔.

It’s the second year running we’ve attended this sell out event. It’s a great way to wind down after what has been, and continues to be, a busy summer for the akp team. 💪 🦺

Our branding is looking smashing on show at the Dukes Entrance of the racecourse 🐎. Look out for it on your next visit!

A little today.

A visit to 180 West George St to meet Anne Sneddon 🌿 within . 🤩

In 2017 we carried out the refurbishment of multiple floors, reception, entrance and public areas of 180 West George St.

And it still looks 👌good today. Despite the tropical 🌴 ☔️ Scottish weather 🙄.

Blue skies all round at our Hobart House project on Hanover St today, where we’re completing an extensive M&E refurbishment and internal alterations across multiple floors. 🦺

Works are well underway at our technically complex project at the landmark G1 Building in the centre of Glasgow. The AKP delivery team Mark Smith and Donald Howie are working in the most demanding live environment with extensive user interfaces and engineering constraints. All of which are being managed to an exceptional standard.

Delighted to be delivering this project on behalf of Ross McDermott at Trident Building Consultancy Ltd.

The AKP team led by Jim Bain prepare for the successful delivery of our 7th project at Maxim Park. A £multi-million Cat A and Cat A plus fit-out across three floors at Maxim 4 for HSBC, including extensive fabric remedial works.

This follows the delivery of multiple Cat A & Cat B fit-outs over the past 5 years, including space for Aviva, Lumira DX, Barratt Homes and Doble Engineering.

Onto the next one.

Guess where we are?????? 🗺️

It’s great to be back in this building working on our 3rd project. The only difference is this time around the on site coffee ☕️ shop is now open and it has some vibrant and wonderfully raw interiors and finishes. 💡 🎨 🐑.

In 2022/23 we published our first 💚Carbon Reduction Plan, a year on and as we get ready to publish our stats for 2023/24 we are questioning everything we do within the built environment 👷‍♀️, as it cannot go unnoticed that over 40% of global greenhouse gas emissions come from the construction sector. 😱
