I've had some customers in Clarkston recently telling me that they're experiencing foul tasting mains tap water and apparently Scottish Water are saying that there's excessive chlorine in the mains.

If your are experiencing this then we can help by installing a low cost filter at your kitchen sink tap which will improve the taste of the water however you have to replace the cartridges about every six months but they're relatively in-expensive at about £10 each and it's easy enough to replace them.

It takes about five minutes to change the cartridges over and isn't very technical but we can also do this for you at the time if you don't feel confident about messing about with valves and filters.

For all of those of you going on holiday abroad this summer to the likes of Italy, France, Spain, Greece and Portugal remember to purchase a hand held carbon monoxide detector which you can buy from about £15 from various places such as B&Q and Screwfix.

Gas safety is probably going to be the last thing on your mind when you are preparing for your well deserved trip away with your family but don't take any chances with holiday accommodation which may or may not have had it's gas appliances checked and tested fro safety.
