This one’s had quite a journey. Originally built as a bungalow in the mid-1960s, it had one extension added, then another over the years. After ongoing roof issues, the clients, with the help of Coogan Architects, decided to completely transform the property by tripling the usable attic space to create three modern, energy-efficient rooms, with floods of natural light from 5 Velux windows and 2 large dormer windows.

It’s great to finally see the scaffolding down in this footage, and the colour of the roof tiles really stands out. Taking the roof off a property while retaining the original bungalow below is no easy task, but with careful planning, great teamwork, and attention to detail, we got there.

Whilst the externals are now complete, the team are busy inside, nearing the final phase of the project. Another fantastic transformation, and one we’re all proud to have been part of.

This large roof is really taking shape.
✅ Single-ply membrane complete.
✅ Dormer cheeks tiled.

Just the final piece of the jigsaw remains before the roof is fully tiled.

Once complete, the scaffolding can come down while the internal works continue. Great progress all round! 👏🏠

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Team Evans are backing the Scotland boys to make history tonight!

Whatever happens, it’s been brilliant to see the country get right behind the team. Everywhere you look there are young kids proudly wearing their new Scotland tops, waving flags and sporting face paint. There’s a real buzz about the place, and it’s been great to see.

At home, I’ve managed to get my young daughters interested in the World Cup and seeing their excitement has made the whole experience even more enjoyable.

It’s also sparked an impromptu night out for myself and the lads to watch Friday’s game together – and a bit of team bonding outside of site is never a bad thing.

Will we do it? Won’t we do it? Time will tell. But one thing’s for sure, we’ve thoroughly enjoyed the journey and it’s been fantastic seeing the nation united behind the boys.

Final stages of this structure being built , this project was to remove existing roof preserve the building below ( with the fun Scottish weather ) and create 2 large bright bedrooms and bathroom upstairs
