Victorian Bathroom Renovation | West End, Glasgow

We recently completed the transformation of this beautiful bathroom in a traditional Glasgow tenement flat, carefully balancing modern functionality with the character of the original property.
Our client wanted to preserve the stunning original wall panelling and timber ceiling, so we carefully repaired every panel using wood filler, sanded everything back to a smooth finish, and repainted both the panelling and ceiling in a crisp white satin. The walls were finished in a rich mustard tone, creating a warm contrast with the classic Victorian features.
The renovation included: New bath, bath panels and bath screen, new thermostatic shower mixer and chrome brassware throughout. New anthracite vanity unit with matching bath panel, new tap and mirrored cabinet, new toilet. Classic white metro tiles in the bath splash area. Stunning black and white Victorian-pattern floor tiles. Bespoke cabinet built to conceal the gas meter while providing easy access. New ceiling light bulbs for a brighter, fresher space
The result is a bathroom that feels timeless—respecting the heritage of this Victorian home while offering all the comfort and practicality of a modern bathroom.

Thinking about renovating your bathroom while preserving its original character? We'd love to help.

We recently completed a full bathroom renovation in a beautiful 19th-century property, giving this outdated space a completely new lease of life while respecting the character of the home.
Our client wanted to replace the old shower enclosure with a full-size bath, repositioned beneath the window to create a more practical and relaxing layout. We also installed a new WC, a stylish vanity unit with a basin, and tall storage units to maximise organisation without compromising on space.
To create a seamless finish, we tiled the bath splash area and removed the original window sill, continuing the tiles neatly into the window reveal for a clean, modern look.
As ventilation was a priority, we core-drilled through the external stone wall and installed a high-performance, ultra-quiet extractor fan, ensuring excellent airflow and helping to prevent condensation and moisture build-up.
Comfort was another key requirement. We installed a large anthracite towel radiator together with electric underfloor heating beneath the floor tiles, making the bathroom warm and comfortable all year round.
The design combines beautiful terrazzo-style floor tiles with wall tiles inspired by wood panelling, creating a timeless and elegant feel. The light oak furniture perfectly complements the warm tones of the wall tiles, while chrome brassware keeps the overall look fresh and sophisticated.
To complete the transformation, we installed new recessed ceiling spotlights, skimmed and levelled all the walls, fitted new skirting boards and architraves, repainted the door, and finished the walls in a rich, deep green, creating a striking contrast with the light tiles and natural oak finishes. The anthracite towel radiator adds the perfect finishing touch, introducing depth and character to the space.
The result is a warm, practical and elegant bathroom that blends modern comfort with the charm of a historic home.

A Small Space, Completely Reimagined
We recently completed a full renovation of this compact shower room in a beautiful Georgian home, transforming it into a modern, practical and elegant space.
Originally, the room featured a shower, a small basin and a Saniflo toilet. Our client was keen to remove the Saniflo system, so we redesigned the plumbing to create a solution without it. As the client no longer required a toilet in this room, we were able to maximise the available space with a larger floating vanity unit, providing generous storage for everyday toiletries and keeping the room beautifully clutter-free.
The walls and floor are finished with timeless beige tiles from the Roca collection, while the rear shower wall features stunning decorative botanical tiles that bring texture and character to the design. These pair beautifully with the deep green vanity unit, creating a sophisticated and calming colour palette.
The matte black brassware and fittings add a bold contrast against the neutral tiles, giving the room a contemporary edge. A large backlit LED mirror reflects light throughout the space, making the shower room feel brighter and more spacious.
As there was previously no heating in the room, we installed an electric towel radiator on the wall opposite the mirror to help reduce moisture and improve everyday comfort. We also fitted a high-performance IP44-rated extractor fan, installed in Zone 1 above the shower. Specifically designed for high-humidity environments, it provides excellent extraction to help prevent condensation, reduce moisture build-up and keep the room fresh and well ventilated.
To complete the look, we added an elegant chandelier-style ceiling light, bringing a touch of luxury and personality to this compact space.
The shower enclosure features sliding glass doors and a thermostatic rainfall shower, combining practicality with a premium feel.
Most importantly, our client is absolutely delighted with the transformation—and so are we!

Some projects, for reasons beyond our control, never make it past the concept stage.
That doesn't mean they should stay hidden.
We believe it's worth sharing designs that represent many hours of planning, problem-solving, and carefully sourcing the right materials.
In this project, an existing shower room was completely reimagined into a stylish WC with a dedicated laundry area and generous storage.
The washing machine and tumble dryer were relocated from the kitchen and stacked vertically to maximise the available space. They are concealed behind bespoke full-height cabinetry, creating a clean, seamless look while keeping everything easily accessible.
The toilet with a concealed cistern is integrated into custom joinery, which continues above into additional storage, maintaining one cohesive design language throughout the room.
To keep the space feeling bright yet full of character, we paired deep navy fish-scale tiles with large-format marble-effect porcelain tiles, creating a timeless contrast. Warm oak-effect cabinetry softens the palette, while brushed gold details—from the flush plate and towel radiator to the handles and tap—add a touch of elegance.
The compact wall-mounted basin was carefully selected to maximise floor space without compromising everyday functionality, proving that even the smallest rooms can be practical, beautiful and thoughtfully designed.
Sometimes the best ideas remain concepts—but they can still inspire.

One of my favourite bathroom concepts to date.
The main goal of this project was to create maximum storage in a compact 1.8 × 2.3 m bathroom without compromising on style.
We positioned the bathtub beneath the window to make the most of the layout. Next to it, a bespoke enclosure conceals the shower mixer while incorporating practical recessed shelving. This cabinetry continues seamlessly into the concealed WC cistern, with a full-height made-to-measure storage cabinet above.
Opposite, a generous recessed vanity with deep drawers provides plenty of everyday storage, complemented by a round mirror and open shelving for toiletries and greenery.
The combination of natural wood, botanical tiles, rich green textures, geometric floor tiles and warm burgundy walls gives this small space a bold personality while keeping it practical and timeless.
I love creating interiors that prove small spaces can be both beautiful and incredibly functional. What do you think?

Insurance-approved doesn't have to mean boring.
This en-suite bathroom was completely renovated following water damage as part of an insurance-approved restoration project—and we wanted to prove that even insurance-funded renovations can be stylish and full of personality.
Designed for a male client, this bathroom features a modern, masculine colour palette with deep grey tones, black brassware, and warm oak accents. Wood-effect tiles in the shower area and an oak vanity unit add warmth and balance to the darker finishes.
The renovation included: ▪️ Replacing damaged floorboards. ▪️ Replacing sections of plasterboard. ▪️ Installing a new oak vanity unit with a basin. ▪️ A new concealed cistern toilet. ▪️ A new electric towel radiator. ▪️ A new electric shower. ▪️ A new shower enclosure. ▪️ New wall and floor tiling. ▪️ Fresh light grey paint throughout.
The result is a clean, contemporary en-suite that feels both practical and sophisticated.
What do you think of this modern masculine bathroom design? 🖤🪵

✨ Our latest bathroom project is complete! ✨

Inspired by warm terracotta tones, this bathroom was designed to create a welcoming, timeless space with plenty of character.
We combined two beautiful tile styles: 🤍 Large beige porcelain tiles with a subtle pattern. 🧡 Matt terracotta metro tiles to add warmth and texture.
The walls were painted in a perfectly matching terracotta shade to complement the feature tiles and bring the whole design together.
This renovation included: • Building a brand-new partition wall. • Installing a new bath with an overhead shower. • New bath and shower mixers. • Oak bath panel and matching oak shelving. • Oak vanity unit with a countertop basin. • Glass bath screen. • A luxury Japanese smart toilet with advanced features. • New ceiling lighting, including two bespoke feature lights built from scratch. • Chrome brassware throughout for a clean, elegant finish.
From demolition to the final finishing touches, every detail was carefully planned and completed by our team.
What do you think of this warm terracotta colour palette? We'd love to hear your thoughts! 🤎

A complete transformation of a narrow kitchen, designed to maximise functionality without compromising on style.
This project featured beautiful green cabinetry paired with a marble-effect laminate worktop and matching marble-pattern splashback tiles for a seamless, elegant look. Black handles added the perfect finishing touch.
We installed a full range of new integrated appliances, including an induction hob, oven, fridge freezer and dishwasher, creating a clean and modern space.
One of the key challenges was maximising storage in a limited area. Behind the door, we designed a tall reduced-depth cabinet, providing valuable extra storage while still allowing the door to open freely.
The renovation also included: ✔️ New laminate flooring ✔️ Wall repairs and fresh paintwork ✔️ New ceiling lighting colour-matched to the cabinetry ✔️ Complete kitchen installation and finishing works
A great example of how smart design and careful planning can turn a compact kitchen into a highly practical and stylish space.

This project was something completely different – and we absolutely loved bringing it to life! 🧡
Our client is a huge fan of the colour orange, so that became the starting point for the entire design.
One of the key requests was a double-sink vanity cabinet and the inclusion of orange accents throughout the bathroom. We began with the idea of creating a statement shower area using bold orange wet wall panels, which were then paired with a dark grey vanity unit for a striking contrast.
The client also wanted to repaint the existing wall panelling in a matching orange tone to tie everything together. On the floor, we installed terrazzo-style tiles featuring orange and dark grey speckles, creating subtle references to the main colour palette throughout the space.
To add even more character, we fitted orange handles on the vanity unit. Around the splash area, we chose classic metro tiles laid vertically and finished them with orange grout for an extra design detail that really stands out.
We also installed a new wall-hung toilet with a concealed cistern and a new anthracite radiator, echoing the colour of the vanity unit. The ceiling was painted in a matching dark grey shade, and although it's not visible in the photos, we even installed orange spotlight trims that pop beautifully against the dark ceiling.
The final result is bold, unique, and full of personality. 🧡🩶
What do you think? Do you like this kind of colourful bathroom design, or would you choose something more neutral?
