Solar Installers Wanted - Subcontractor Work Across Scotland (Based in Glasgow)

We are currently seeking experienced solar installers for subcontractor work installing Viridian and GSE solar panels across Scotland, with a base in Glasgow. Both positions will involve working as a 2-man team.

Requirements:
• Proven experience in solar panel installation
• CSCS card (mandatory)
• Public liability insurance
• UTR number
• Full driving license
• Own tools (preferred)
• Own van (preferred, but not essential)
• Must have your own smartphone for submitting photos of the job at different stages of the installation

For Skilled Labourers:
• We are open to trialing skilled labourers with a strong attention to detail, the ability to read technical drawings, and a willingness to learn the Viridian and GSE solar panel systems. You must meet the following criteria:
• CSCS card (mandatory)
• UTR number
• Public liability insurance
• Own tools
• Clean driving license
• Reliable and dependable
• Must have your own smartphone for submitting photos of the job at different stages of the installation

Pay:
• Rate per panel to be agreed based on experience. Installers will be expected to install both systems to the highest standard and in accordance with the manufacturer’s guidelines.

Solar Panel Bird Protection & Cleaning Service 🦅✨🧼 Part 2/2

At this property, the remaining six solar panels on the front elevation had become a favourite hotspot for pigeons, leading to a mess and compromising the performance of the solar system. Bird droppings were blocking the panels, which could potentially cause long-term damage.

There’s a common myth that solar panels are self-cleaning, but that’s not true. For solar panels to operate at optimum levels, it’s important to clean them regularly. We recommend cleaning the panels every 6-12 months to ensure they continue to perform at their best.

To solve the problem, TB Solar Solutions first removed the pigeons and installed bird spikes along the ridge of the solar panels to prevent them from landing between the panels in the future. We also added a bird protection system to keep the panels safe and free from debris, allowing them to function at their best.

Next, we cleaned the panels thoroughly, removing dirt and buildup to maximize their power generation. As a result, the panels now run more efficiently, which means lower energy costs and more savings for our customer.
