Seeing things like this breaks our heart.

This GT-R came to us after being taken to other performance garages. It had been diagnosed with a failed passengers side turbocharger.

Before we removed the engine we wanted to know the reason behind the failure, as in the 12 years of working on R35 GT-R this was the first kind of failure we had came across.

So with the information gathered from the customer, we confirmed indeed the turbocharger had failed. there was also another noise in the background, a bottom end knock. now if we want ahead and fitted the Bogwarner EFR turbos without doing any further investigation it would of led to there failure and nearly £6000 scrap.

The oil level was checked, it was spot on. we then with the customers permission went ahead and removed the sump and where met with metal particles and bearing residue. not good.

The customer was informed of our findings and agreed to pull the engine and go for one of our 1000R builds.

So…. when we go to remove the engine we came across this…. someone had bypassed the factory oil cooler.

came to us via recommendation. the car had various historic fault and running in limp mode.

Using our latest Diagnostic tools we where met with various Engine management codes. Using a tried and tested problem finding workflow we where able to find various breaches in the engine wiring loom and a faulty exhaust valve and a broken crankcase breather pipe ✅

With all the faults rectified asked to carry out one for our stage 2 conversions. downpipe was supplied by performance air filter by and bespoke ECU mapping by simon 🤩
