What a night at the Trades House of Glasgow Awards! 🏆

We are incredibly proud to see all three of our shortlisted apprentices walk away with a win. This outstanding achievement reflects the dedication and standard of work they bring to the team.

Huge congratulations to Kenny Barr for winning the Scottish Builders Contractors Association Award, to Scott Hazlett for taking home Apprentice of the Year for Glasgow SME, and to Brady Craig, who won the Overcoming Difficulties Award.

Every project we undertake is driven by our commitment to meeting our clients' specifications, and our latest refurbishment for Hebridean Food is a prime example.

When our client requested the removal of two redundant steel chimney stacks, their safety and project timeline were our top priorities. Despite the poor condition of the stacks, our team combined sharp expertise with thorough pre-surveys to ensure the entire operation aligned perfectly with the client's expectations.

The result? An intricate job completed exactly as planned - safely, smoothly, and efficiently.

Well done to Small Works Manager, Nigel Campbell, and our Core division for their hard work and for always keeping client satisfaction at the forefront of what they do. 👏

Work is now under way at the historic Kelvinbridge Parish Church in Glasgow’s West End on behalf of our new client, The Glasgow Academy, who acquired the building in 2024.

Dating back to the late 1800s, the building is rich in history and architectural character. As parts of the church are refurbished and transformed into a flexible space for activities and events for The Academy students, great care is being taken to preserve and celebrate its original features and heritage throughout the project.

To deliver the highest standard of workmanship, we are drawing on the expertise of our Core Division’s in-house teams, including our dedicated joinery, plumbing, and painting and decorating specialists. Our joiners are currently on-site carrying out intricate works with exceptional attention, carefully working around the building’s historic structure and original features to ensure its character is retained for future generations.

The team at Chromalloy Glasgow recently shared these images of their newly refurbished space, and we absolutely love what they’ve done with the place.
