new addition to Edinburgh Airport’s food and beverage offering has just opened. Giraffe provides an extensive all-day menu, serving up beloved international cuisine, from Asian street food to classic American burgers. The restaurant is located in the departure lounge in the former Barburrito unit and provides 179 covers.

The project - designed by Harrison - involved the complete strip-out of the former Barburrito along with the neighbouring WH Smith bookshop. Giraffe was then fitted out in accordance with brand requirements. Scope of works included partitions and ceilings, flooring, MEP installation, bar front, kitchen, servery along with bespoke joinery items. This included ceiling rafts, bar and servery units. Several items were also refurbished and repurposed from existing restaurants such as planters and waiter stations.

Giraffe is part of our ongoing work with client TRGC which operates a range of leading food and beverage brands across travel hubs and the High Street.

This edition looks at our current and recently completed projects for both new and long-standing clients of the Pacific business. As always, the construction market has seen peaks and troughs over the last year, but there are definitely positive signs for the remainder of 2026. Pacific are delighted to hand over their latest project at Glasgow International Airport for repeat clients SSP Group, the global travel food experts. 
The Starbucks coffee stop refurbishment involved the strip-out of the existing fixtures and fittings and the installation of new joinery items including tables, waiter stations, merchandise units and banquette seating.

The opening of the new Turkish Airlines lounge in Edinburgh underlines Pacific Building’s expertise in delivering high-profile, high-specification projects in busy airport locations.

Pacific tuned into charity fun when we helped Include Me 2 Club launch their coffee pop-up Social Blend at Braehead Centre Shopping Centre.
We manufactured the counter for our chosen good cause, and we were delighted to be there to join Clyde 1's presenters George Bowie and Cassi in making sure the endeavour will be a hit.

Over the last five years, Pacific have completed close to 1,000 bedroom refurbishment and multiple upgrades and fit-outs of public areas, bars, conference facilities and restaurants.
