📰 We are proud to announce that we are the preferred bidder for the sale of the former Paisley Grammar Secondary School on Glasgow Road.

The B-listed central building on Glasgow Road designed by renowned architect Thomas Graham Abercrombie was opened in 1898.

NIXON will partner with social housing provider, Sanctuary Scotland Housing Association, to develop its proposals for housing on this prime site.

Our new proposals will retain the historical building and elements of the existing building while creating a mix of private and social housing on the surrounding site.

Richard McFadzean, owner and Managing Director of NIXON, said: “This is a landmark site in Paisley. We understand that the building adds significant architectural richness to the town, and we are proud to take on the challenge of preserving this building and complementing it with the addition of further high-quality affordable apartments within the site. We are look forward to bringing forward our designs, in partnership with Sanctuary Scotland Housing Association, to begin a new chapter for the Paisley Grammar site.”

We are a fast-growing, multi-disciplined construction consultancy looking for an experienced Office Manager & PA to support our Managing Director and keep our busy office running smoothly.

This is a varied and hands-on role where you’ll be the MD’s right-hand support, manage the day-to-day operations of the office, and play a key part in client-facing and internal communications.

What You’ll Do

Manage the MD’s diary, travel, and meetings.
General office typing and formatting documents.
Oversee office operations, suppliers, and facilities.
Process invoices, milage and expenses.
Coordinate HR records, staff onboarding, and company events.
Act as the first point of contact for clients and staff.

What We’re Looking For
Proven PA/Office Manager experience at senior level.
Excellent organisational and communication skills.
Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Professional, proactive, and able to juggle multiple priorities.
Experience in construction/property/consultancy (preferred, not essential).

To meet the ambitions of our clients, we need an individual who will work well in a busy and thriving office.

As a multi-disciplinary practice, we are looking for an Architect or Technologist who can work closely with our Project Managers and Quantity Surveyors on a range of projects.

From our development at Beith Street in Partick - a 48 new apartment build - to our work with social housing associations, our work is diverse and our team work to realise the ambitions of our clients.
