"The Department for Education has launched an online 'marketplace' for schools to buy purifiers to help tackle Covid, recommending units which cost up to £1,170 each."

Nathan Wood (BESA Wellbeing in Buildings Chairman) has been calling for the UK Government to provide funding to schools.

The air purifiers are being recommended for use where there is not enough ventilation as viruses thrive in areas that are not well ventilated.

Most schools will have to fund the purifiers without any Government help as currently no grants are available.
