After 28 long years, Scotland are finally back on football’s biggest stage.

The last time Scotland played at a World Cup was in 1998. I was just 10 years old. Like so many Scots, I’ve waited a long time to see our nation back where it belongs.

What’s been brilliant to see is the buzz right across the country. Scottish Saltires flying from cars, businesses proudly showing their support, flags hanging from houses, and communities coming together to get behind the team.

The country has waited long enough for this moment, and it’s times like these that remind us what football can do. In the current climate, it’s great to have something that brings people together, lifts spirits, and unites the country behind a common cause.
