Always have your boiler service annually!

This boiler had a hole in the heat exchanger and was immediately dangerous. This was found during an annual service 🤯

💥The boiler was swapped for a new boiler and a 10 year parts and labour warranty issued.🔥

Upon renewing the boiler it was found to be installed with another manufacturer’s flue 😱😩

Nothing surprises us in this trade anymore!!!! The things we see on our travels!!!

Honestly the things we see when servicing boilers is just getting beyond belief! 🫣

I’ve spoken to other heating engineers I know and trust and they are saying the same!! there seems to be a real lack of care when it comes to customers safety!

Companies offering cheap (race to the bottom) prices and getting jobs over the value for money companies who take pride in their work.

Never be afraid to ask tradesman to see their qualifications/gas safe details and insurance etc it’s your right!!

First picture is an unvented cylinder installed recently without an expansion vessel 🤯🤯🤯 extremely dangerous!! Needless to say the installer was called by myself and eventually came to rectify the issue.

Second picture is a disconnected flue in a loft space, again extremely dangerous, and this was left like this after a new roof was installed and the roofer didn’t see fit to hire a gas safe engineer to safely remove and re install it!!

Always have your boiler serviced by a reputable Gas safe registered company for peace of mind!

If they can’t provide paperwork don’t use them it’s not worth the cheaper price!!
