Few pics from the recording of Holst's piano at the Holst Victorian House today, conducted alongside Chris Cundy who thankfully played the piano for us to sample and record.

Mics varied from Audio-Technica AT4040's (one is unseen in pics but underneath the bass section), AKG C414's and a Sennheiser ambeo FOA mic to capture the soundscape inside and surrounding the piano. Its always a bit tight for space with location recording in Victorian era buildings, but given the close proximity of mics to eachother, they were in the best formation for the soace and nature of the recording.

Spent some time at Holst Victorian House today exploring, recording and photographing the spaces ready for the recording of Holst's Piano for the Holst 150 Project.

Got all the rooms measured up for convolution reverbs and impulse responses that might be released later on with the project outcomes.

Had a great time helping to run the Dream Stage at Fantasy Forest Festival 2024 with the guys from Major Entertainment LTD and Greg Wilson-Copp.

We had loads of amazing acts and nearly every type of weather: blazing 28 degree heat, rain. Everything!

Had a great little impromptu business trip to London yesterday to visit a few different creative spaces and events.

We had a short hop over to D&AD to check out the work of some up and coming designers.

Headed over to De Lane Lea Studios to meet with Marius to discuss several projects, a detailed discussion on current industry standards and most importantly, go through some Ideas for the Holst 150 project / Piano Recording.

Couldn't help doing some site seeing while we were in the area too 😂😎👍

Now I've finished Uni (Part 1 at least) I thought it was a good time to say thanks to Emily for designing my glorious brand for BCS Audio Engineering. Here's a few of the assets that you'll see popping up around the place as the work gradually comes in.
