Originally founded in 2009 in a back room in Guildford, Surrey, it was named Taylors Light Engineering until someone asked "How do you engineer light", it became TLE Tool and Model Supplies overnight. With so many people asking what does TLE stand for it was decided to drop that as well, at the same time we changed the name simply to "Tool & Model Supplies". In June of 2011 we moved into our first

shop, located in Farncombe, Surrey and started to concentrate on model sales rather than tools due to customer demand. It was around this time that we noticed people were asking for items not normally available in other model shops that based their sales on profit rather than customer satisfaction. As of January 2014 it was decided to evolve again and we arrived at what we felt was the version of the name for the business, Modesco standing for Model Supply Company. After a forced change in the business we are now 135 models, which stands for 1/35 scales models.
