Designed to blur the line between inside and out ☀️

The new landscaped terrace and swimming pool create a calm outdoor retreat, directly connected to the artist’s studio through retractable corner glazing that opens the space completely to the garden.

Contemporary additions to a historic setting. 🌿

This locally listed timber-framed home underwent a full refurbishment alongside new rear and side extensions, carefully designed to respond to the character of the original house.

Referencing the existing oak framing while introducing large glazed gables, the extensions open the home out to views of the lake, terraces and surrounding gardens, creating a stronger connection between the house and its landscape ✨

Surrey Hills progress update 🏗️

Work is continuing on the lowest reinforced concrete slab, which forms the base of the swimming pool. Timber formwork is now in place, with all reinforcement positioned and ready ahead of the concrete pour next week.

The scale of groundwork and coordination at this stage is significant, with huge amounts of material and preparation required before a single slab is cast.

Following the pour, reinforced concrete walls will begin to form around the perimeter, bringing the project up to basement floor level before the next structural slab is introduced to connect back into the piling system ✨

Reimagining an Edwardian home for modern family living 🤩

This project involved the full renovation and extension of a former wing of an Edwardian property, transforming a fragmented and heavily altered layout into a light-filled family home centred around a vaulted kitchen and dining space.

Oak framing and large glazed openings draw the garden into the heart of the home, while the reworked staircase and loft conversion improve flow, light and connection throughout 🌿

Surrey Hills progress update 🏗️

Excavation of the basement is now well underway, reaching down to the lower pool area. The capping beam and piles are clearly visible, with reinforcement left exposed ready to connect into the future reinforced concrete walls once cast.

Elsewhere on site, formwork for the pool base is beginning to take shape, another key step as the structure continues to emerge from the ground ✨
