Another job completed at a local college 👷‍♂️🧱

Existing blockwork walls removed and rebuilt using 6-inch solid concrete blocks to meet the required criteria for plumbing student testing and practical assessments.

Definitely knew about it by the end of the day — those 6-inch blocks aren’t light! 😂💪

This one was a little different to our usual projects 👷‍♂️

A recent commercial job carrying out a number of structural alterations within an existing building.

The works involved forming new openings through existing masonry walls, installing new lintels and making good the surrounding brickwork ready for the next stages of the refurbishment.

Working within an occupied commercial building meant a bit more planning than usual, with temporary support, dust and water control, and keeping the surrounding areas protected throughout.

Nice to get another commercial project completed and add something a little different to the portfolio

I was actually going to leave this one off the page because it didn’t turn out quite picture perfect, but I’ve decided to post it anyway — not every job goes absolutely perfectly!

Reinforced concrete slab we completed for a large garden room a few weeks ago, right in the middle of the baking heat ☀️

On the final section we put the hessian down a little too early as we were worried about the concrete drying out too quickly in the heat. Unfortunately it stuck slightly and left some discolouration on the surface.

Purely cosmetic and luckily the whole slab will eventually be covered up, but it’s a good reminder that sometimes things don’t turn out quite as pretty as you’d like!

Still a solid reinforced base, ready for the garden room to go up 👍

A sump pump for the waste, water & power to connect once the rooms all done ✔️

This patio was given a full sodium hypochlorite clean to remove years of organic staining before being repointed using Nexus Pro Titan resin jointing compound. The result is a fresh, clean finish that’s built to last and much easier to maintain 👷
