Was in Chandlers Ford looking at a long-term leak that’s been causing issues to the shops below. Carried out some dye testing in a few areas to help track it down.

Good news is the roof itself isn’t leaking. The issue is with the detailing where the GRP roof meets the existing cavity tray. The original lead flashing had been removed and replaced with a GRP upstand, and it looks like the cavity tray was damaged when that was done.

Also found the roof gully isn’t doing its job properly, so we’ve advised fitting a new one at the lowest point.

Recommended fix is a new cavity tray and putting the drainage right.
