Another one all tacked and ready for the plasterers tomorrow, this client decided on triple glazed Velux windows and sound bloc plaster board to make sure the new loft space was nice a quite. To be honest after being up there today this makes a big difference. Will post some plastering pictures end of the week.

Something a bit different from the norm, this client knew exactly what they wanted. Eco friendly sheep’s wool insulation, wood wall boards and Aerogel boards on the front slope that I believe are used on the space station! Finishing it off with polar white stones on the flat roof to reflect the heat on those hot days.

When you turn up at a job and think it’s going to be an easy build and find out both sides have no foundations and have built of lintels and the mud and you still manage to get the block work up in 2 weeks! Pay cheap get monkeys! Unfortunately the client has had to pay for the incompetence of the previous builders to make sure there is to building controls satisfaction!

Not bad for a Saturday, we completed this dormer today. We will be doing stud walls Monday then this one is ready for first fix electrics and plumbing. Material delivery was only Wednesday.

A bit different from the norm this loft, re pitched front ant rear roof and reinstated the pediment as the existing roof was basically falling in on itself. This one’s going to be finished in a Spanish natural slate and will look like brand new when done.

Another job near completion, this one’s taken a bit longer than normal due to the madness this summer, where everyone went on holiday, can’t blame them though when they’ve been banned since Covid 19. I hope next June, July, august and September are not the same! Roll on normal times.

Great effort from the boys on the project at Seymour Rd today. Stripped the roof tiles, removed the old structure, removed the flat roof over the bay, re pitched the front roof reinstating the old pediment. This will now be part of the loft room with two Velux windows. The front roof will be finished in a natural Spanish slate.
