Following large earthworks and buildings construction on a site in wilmslow the client was left with stockpiles of very wet clays following various activity. Working in small areas I mixed lime in to dry the material into something useable. By modifying we were able to get the material into a state good enough to use as backfill against various structures. Lime modification always very useful following winter working.
The road we installed is temporary for cherry pickers and scissor lifts for cladding works.

This has been ongoing works since January carrying out works for Utley Excavations ltd and main contractors Caddick construction for the new bmw and Mini Cooper dealership in Wilmslow.

We cover all aspects of muck shift and earthworks, civil projects and groundwork’s. Big or small, domestic or commercial.

Back with some works for a major contractor vinci to help in assisting mayo civils and hurts with groundwork’s for a new steel multi-storey office block in Blackpool. ✅

To undertake works on a 5tonne excavator and a 2 tonne we were brought in to prepare the ground with some 6F2 sub base underneath some type 1 MOT, install some ground insulation with a layer of visqueen above that ready for the finish pour of concrete for the ground bearing slab.✅

Did you know that upwards of 15% of heat loss in all properties is through uninsulated ground?❌❌

Some civils work carried out for XPO a large logistics company in Manchester to expose an old cable that powered a traffic light system for the wagons.

We were contracted to expose and remove the old cable which was only 50mm under the surface of the ground! 😳
not only was that bad the ducting used for the old cable was perforated land drain ducting! ❌❌

So we dug a 600mm deep trench where the cable was to run and laid the cable in proper cable ducting.
We also reinstated the cable back under the concrete road.
Then backfilled using the correct materials. ✅

Apologies for the lack of posts in the previous couple of months. We have been undergoing contract works in Blackpool to assist in building a new bypass road on a gps equipped 21 tonne excavator.
However with these works coming to and end we can now take on new jobs!

Another job completion.
Civils works this time.
A customer came to us requesting a larger patio area outside their back door.
For this job we had to demolish an existing retaining wall and remove 40 tonne of soils from the garden.

The existing patio that was in place was flagged,
However the falls hadn’t been calculated properly and the flags were sat above the minimum depth of 150mm under DPC.❌

So we removed the flags and dug out the sub base used to lay them onto until left with sub grade (clay).✅

We then re calculated the falls of the entire new patio area and tied it in with a NEW soak away drainage system that we put in place. ✅

The customer explained that they would be installing the new retaining wall themselves, so after removal of the wall and soils we marked out and dug the footings for them.✅

Another satisfied customer to add to the list! ✅

Smaller job carried out during the week.

A customer approached us with a wanting use for the ‘hidden’ side of her patio area.
With damaged fence panels and old scraps of a shed it had been left and forgotten about. ❌

We replaced her beaten panels with new ones and painted all the woodwork a much better suited dark oak colour. ✅

We also power washed all the patio area bringing the beautiful Indian stone back to life. For this we also applied a patio ceaner which gets rid of the tougher stains in the stone. ✅

Check out this recent job.

Customer approached me about having their beautiful Indian stone driveway re pointed.
Rather than sand and cement i used a resin based grout which leaves such a nicer finish on this driveway.
It will also outlast sand and cement pointing.✅

Completed job.

This older roof was looking way passed it’s time covered from top to bottom in moss!
The problem was being caused by 2 trees that overlooked the property that have now been removed. ✅

We removed all the moss and cleared all the gutters. Since the moss had been there so long it had really stuck onto the roof tiles even after removal.❌

So we treated with a moss removal solution that is safe for roof tiles.
Within the next couple of weeks all the little moss spores that remain will be wiped out by the solution that was applied to each individual tile.✅

Won’t you just look at how much moss went into that green bin! (It was empty upon arrival) 😳
