At Vxcel Piling Ltd, we don’t often share personal stories, but this is one that’s incredibly close to our hearts.
As directors of the business, we’re used to overcoming challenges every day. However, nothing could have prepared us for the journey we’ve been on as parents.
Our son, Flynn, was diagnosed with cerebral palsy (right side hemiplegia) and epilepsy at a young age. Like many families facing a life-changing diagnosis, we’ve had to learn, adapt and navigate countless challenges while continuing to run our business and support our family.
Throughout that journey, two incredible charities have been there for us – Hope for Epilepsy and CP Sport.
Hope for Epilepsy has provided equipment that helps keep Flynn safe during his seizures, giving us reassurance when he sleeps. CP Sport has given Flynn opportunities, confidence and a real sense of belonging through sport, and we’re incredibly proud that he’s now an ambassador for the charity.
Now, at just 11 years old, Flynn wants to give something back.
On 13th September, he’ll be taking on the incredible challenge of playing 36 holes of golf in one day at Darwen Golf Club to raise money for these two amazing charities.
As parents, we couldn’t be prouder of the young man he’s becoming. His resilience, positivity and determination inspire us every single day.
