A fantastic day on the course for an even greater cause! ⛳

Probe were proud to host our annual golf day at Gorleston Golf Club, bringing together suppliers, clients and colleagues for a day of golf, networking and fundraising in support of Sunbeams Charity. 💛

Sunbeams provides specialist support, therapies and opportunities for children with disabilities and additional needs, helping them and their families access vital services, build confidence and create lasting memories. Their work makes a real difference to families across our community.

A special thank you to the North Sea Petroleum Golfers Association (NSPGA) for their sponsorship and generous donation and support, helping to make the event such a success.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who attended, donated and supported the event. The generosity shown throughout the day will help Sunbeams continue their amazing work and support for local children and their families.

Events like these are a fantastic reminder of what can be achieved when businesses, suppliers and clients come together to support great causes. 🤝

Together we raised £925 for Sunbeams!

From colleague to neighbour: Saying goodbye to Steve👋

After spending more than 20 years with the business, working his way from Workshop Foreman to General Manager, it’s fair to say this one is a tough goodbye… but not the end of our journey together.

On Friday, we held a farewell breakfast for Steven Blake, who has been appointed General Manager of Claxton Engineering Great Yarmouth Facilities.

Steve’s career with us is a fantastic example of what dedication, hard work and commitment can achieve. Over the last two decades, he has played a significant role in the growth and success of the business, earning the respect of colleagues, customers and the wider group alike along the way.

While we are sad to see him leave our team, we are incredibly proud to watch him take this step within our wider group. The great thing about this farewell is that it isn’t really a goodbye! As part of our sister company, Steve remains a valued part of the family, and we look forward to continuing work together in the years to come.

From everyone at Probe, thank you for your contribution, leadership and friendship over the years. We know our relationships will continue to grow. We wish you every success in your new role and have no doubt you’ll make a huge impact at Claxton. 🌟

Good Luck Steve – We will see you across the group! 🎊

A royal recognition: Celebrating our Lifeboat Crew 🚤

Probe are delighted to celebrate our very own Ben Penning who was recently honoured with an invitation to attend a Royal Garden Party at Buckingham Palace on 12th May, on behalf of the RNLI (Royal National Lifeboat Institution) 💂 👑

Nominated by the Lord Lieutenant of Norfolk, this was a truly special recognition and the dedication and commitment shown through their service. During the event, they had the opportunity to see The King and Queen, explore the beautiful palace grounds, eating some fancy sandwiches and taking part in a memorable afternoon.

We couldn’t be any prouder to see a member of our team represented on such a prestigious stage, for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity

Well done Ben and the Great Yarmouth & Gorleston Lifeboat team for your continued hard work and congratulations on the well-deserved recognition. 👏

Probe Manufacturing and Fabrication, together with Claxton Engineering, is pleased to announce that an agreement has been signed for the acquisition of our businesses by AF Gruppen , one of Norway’s leading contracting and industrial groups, from Acteon.

The transaction is subject to approval by the Norwegian Competition Authority and, if approved, is expected to complete during the second quarter of 2026.

This represents an important milestone for Probe. Becoming part of AF Gruppen aligns with our ambitions for growth and strengthens our ability to deliver high-quality fabrication and manufacturing services to our customers across the offshore energy, nuclear, geothermal and renewables sectors.

We have been proud members of the Acteon group for many years and value the strong foundation and support provided during that time.
