Pictured here is our HH97 straight boom Launch and Recovery System, one of the core products in our portfolio.

Some key features of this LARS include:
➡️ Self-contained design, which is suitable for a wide range of ROVs
➡️ Removable HPU and winch, with multiple speed and load options available
➡️ Base frame built on a 20ft shipping container footprint, with a maximum load capacity of 5.5 tonnes

Did you know that we have been supporting grassroots football for over 14 years?⚽️⚽️

We are proud to have been sponsoring the local Bohemians FC youth team during that time, as well as getting involved with their Festival of Football last year.

With yesterday being World Football Day, it felt like the perfect opportunity to recognise and say thank you to the clubs and communities that keep the game going at the grassroots level. Without these communities the game would not exist!!

This is not our usual type of post, as there is no LARS or product to share, but we are very proud to be a small part of contributing to local sport.

⬇️Four of our Launch and Recovery Systems (LARS) at Saab Seaeye’s workshop.

These units are our HH262 Tele Boom LARS, a self-contained system, with this particular set featuring 55kW hydraulic power units (HPUs).

Great to see the four systems together at our client’s facility!

We are deeply saddened by the passing of our founder, Peter Church, whose funeral was held on 30 April.

Starting as a one-man operation in Great Yarmouth in February 1990, Peter built Hydramec from the ground up, shaping the company into what it is today.

His vision, determination, and hardworking mindset continue to influence the business and the people within it.

Peter will be greatly missed by family, friends, and the many who worked alongside him over the years.

📢 In light of National Apprenticeship Week, we would like to highlight the importance of apprentices in the workplace.

Since our early days, apprentices have always been a core part of our team, with many starting at Hydramec and going on to build successful careers. Our goal is to help apprentices learn and develop the practical and professional skills that will set them up for the future. 🚀

💬 We sat down with our 8 apprentices and asked them what they enjoy most about their apprenticeship, what they have learnt so far, and whether they would recommend an apprenticeship to others.

Over the past 10 years, we have worked with Scantrol on a variety of projects, including for naval operations, deep-sea exploration, and unmanned systems.

Our first joint project in 2014 saw us deliver a tailored Active Heave Compensated Launch and Recovery System, setting the foundation for a strong partnership.
