SES's Corporate Social Responsibility policy is to continually strive to find ways to help and enhance the communities, where we are engaged with our building projects.

We have constructed over £60M of commercial buildings in the Thanet area in recent years and it is great to be able support local community initiatives and projects, via our CSR team.

Changing Minds Kent are a not for profit community interest company aimed at reducing the stigma around mental health.
They provide a range of services from training, education, awareness, and preventative projects to promote positive wellbeing https://www.facebook.com/changingmindskent

We are really happy to support their brilliant activity!

Just under 2 year ago Ben Hendley and David Scott were tasked to design, engineer and procure the materials to create the most efficient carport structure, capable of supporting an extensive PV array system, in an existing car park. We developed a concept, completed the detailed design and built a prototype in our client's yard.

This was accepted by our client and the end user, Bentley Motors.

Subsequently, we rolled out 260 tonnes of cold rolled steel, to site, with zero site deflects or omissions. The largest UK Solar car port was created producing 2.7MW of power from its 10,000 solar panels whilst reducing CO2 by 3,300 tonnes per year. The solar car ports cover an area of 16,426m2, that's over two football pitches!

We're still very proud of our part in this project.
