🧱 Another garden wall completed by the team!
The customer originally had a hedge in this gap, but with the neighbouring pub expanding their car park and removing the hedge, they asked us to fill the space with a new wall to match the existing garden wall.
We built a 9-inch solid brick wall, complete with:
🔨 Foundation dug and concreted
🧱 9-inch brickwork with engineering bricks laid on edge
🏗️ A matching 2 brick x 2 brick pillar
🔺 Finished with a concrete apex pillar cap
We’ve matched the existing wall as closely as possible, creating a neat finish that blends in nicely with the garden.
And we even let our apprentice loose with the trowel on the back brickwork! 😅🧱 Safe to say, he’s getting there!

Well, that’s a wrap! 👏🔨
Another transformation completed by the team! What was once an old, unused outbuilding full of spiders and cobwebs has been completely transformed into a bright, practical and fully usable utility room. 🏡
The work included:
🔨 Internal walls removed to create a larger, more usable space
🧱 New insulated floor installed
🏠 External walls stud-lined, insulated, plasterboarded and skimmed
✨ New ceiling installed and skimmed
⚡ New electrics, thanks to William Parker from wills electrical (wont let us tag there business page)
🧱 Old external doors and windows removed and openings bricked up
The finished room has created some much-needed extra space for the kitchen and, most importantly, the customers are extremely happy with the result! 😊
Another old, tired space given a new lease of life. 💪

🧱 Sneak Peek at a Current Project!
Here’s a little sneak peek at one of our current jobs — transforming an old, cold and outdated outbuilding and small pantry into a good-sized, warm and practical utility room! 🏡🔨
So far, we’ve:
🔨 Removed the old dividing walls
🧱 Removed the old rotten doorways and bricked them up
🪟 Bricked up the old window
🌡️ Installed a new insulated floor
🧱 Studded out and insulated the external walls with 100mm Kingspan
✨ Plastered and skimmed all walls and the ceiling
It’s amazing what can be achieved by making the most of existing space!
Just another day on site and this one will be fully wrapped up and ready for the customer to enjoy. 👌

🏗️ Another extension progressing nicely!
Another extension brought up to DPC level and ready for the next stage. 👌
The customer had already excavated the foundations for us, but unfortunately the ground conditions weren’t playing ball, with the sides of the trenches continually collapsing. We installed shuttering to safely contain the concrete and get the foundations ready for inspection.
💧 Water pumped out
⛏️ Loose clay removed
🪵 Shuttering installed
✅ Building Control inspection passed
🚛 Concrete poured
🧱 Trench blocks laid
🧱 Brickwork built up to DPC level
We’re now waiting for the structural engineer to confirm the steel column locations and sizes. These columns will support the steel lintels over the corner bifold doors.
Once the steel details are confirmed, we’ll get the steels installed, prepare the floor ready for concrete and then get the floor poured.

🔨 Another great bit of progress on one of our current projects! 🔨
We're making excellent headway, with some major structural work now completed:
✔️ Rear wall of the house removed
✔️ Dividing wall between the kitchen and toy room removed to create a more open living space
✔️ Structural steel beams installed
✔️ Old rotten timber floor removed, the area prepared, and a new concrete floor poured thanks to Kings Concrete Pumping & Liquid Screed for supplying and laying the new concrete floor
It's always exciting to see a project starting to take shape, and we can't wait to share more updates as the transformation continues!

🏡 Another busy week comes to an end for the team!
Progress is moving well on our new build project in Louth, which is now ready for the next lift of scaffolding. We've also been setting out the foundations for our next exciting new build in Tealby, ready for the groundworkers to get started.
Setting out a new build is never a simple task, and the constant rain on Thursday certainly made things more challenging, but we're pleased to have everything in place and ready for the next stage.

A huge thank you to J.Turgoose Building and Bricklaying Services for generously sponsoring the new Grimsby RUFC Under 7s club ties. We are hugely grateful for the support shown to our team and grassroots rugby. 👏🏉

As the season comes to an end, we want to say how proud we are of every single player in the Grimsby U7s squad. It has been a brilliant season full of learning, development, teamwork and fun. This year has seen the players grow in confidence, develop a huge range of rugby skills, and take part in their first competitive games — creating memories that will last a long time.

Most importantly, the group has continued to show fantastic teamwork, sportsmanship and enjoyment every single week.

Although the season has finished, we still have our beach rugby sessions through the summer to keep everyone involved and active:
