Dear customers, collaborators, and friends!

The vision of Vitrolife Group is to enable people to fulfil the dream of having a healthy baby. Guided by this purpose, we remain deeply committed to supporting people and communities in need, and we are dedicated to making a meaningful impact beyond our industry.

Each year, Vitrolife Group makes a seasonal donation to a charity close to our hearts. This year, we have chosen to donate to the Red Cross in Spain to support those affected by the recent flooding in Valencia, a city that is also home to many of our valued employees and one of our major laboratories.

Collaboration is one of the core values of the Vitrolife Group, and we hope this gesture reflects our gratitude for your partnership as we continue working together to make a positive impact💙

World Cancer Day takes place every year on 4 February and is the uniting global initiative under which the world comes together to raise the profile of cancer in a positive and inspiring way.

Spearheaded by the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC), the day aims to save millions of lives each year by raising awareness about the disease while calling for actions from governments and individuals across the world.

Through investing in research and innovation, we have witnessed extraordinary breakthroughs in medicine, diagnostics, and scientific knowledge.
The more we know, the more progress we can make in reducing risk factors, increasing prevention and improving cancer diagnosis, treatment, and care.

At Vitrolife Group, one of our core values is “Together”.

We strive to trust each other with mutual care and understanding, and embrace diversity, share knowledge and collaborate inclusively.

We asked our colleagues around the world what diversity means to them. These are a few of their answers.

❔: Why is diversity and inclusion important in the workplace and in business?

💡: Nobody is a true well-rounded person. Some are great in people management and excellent in dealing with customers or motivating teams, some are great engineers designing excellent products, some are incredible in numbers. Having a diverse team of profiles allows us to complete the capabilities of the organization.

❔: What comes to mind you think about diversity and inclusion in Vitrolife Group?

💡: Having cross-functional teams for complex projects.

❔: What do you like about Vitrolife Group when it comes to diversity and inclusion?

💡: The priority that it represents for the company.

❔: What do you wish for diversity and inclusion in the coming years?

💡: Keep putting it as a priority & executing the actions to foster it.

📰 Exciting news! Our latest paper, "Cell-free DNA analysis in preimplantation genetic testing," has just been published in Fertility and Sterility Science Journal.

🧬 If you're interested in the use of cfDNA as a biomarker for embryo viability, this review paper is a must-read! The review explores concordance rates between cfDNA and TE biopsies or whole blastocysts in couples undergoing PGT-A, and it’s clear that the analysis of cfDNA in the blastocyst culture medium could be a game-changer for IVF patients.

🧬 Non-invasive cfDNA analysis provides a more objective tool than morphology or morphokinetics to prioritize the transfer of embryos with higher chances of being euploid, resulting in a better clinical outcome prognosis.

We would like to share the response published in Fertility and Sterility regarding the paper: Cozzolino et al. 2022 - Analysis of the ERA effect in patients with just one previous failed attempt.
Read the complete article here: https://www.fertstert.org/article/S0015-0282(22)02046-5/pdf

After several failed attempts with at least three good prognosis embryos, 70.8% of the patients who underwent the ERA test, were found to be non-receptive at the time in which the previous failed transfers were performed.
By personalizing the embryo transfer according to the optimal moment of receptivity as determined by ERA, 76.5% of patients became pregnant. 13 out of 17 patients achieved pregnancy thanks to ERA.
