Wow☀️, the summer has nearly been and gone very quickly so here’s an update on all things Sponmech for you!
🪴Back in June, Sponmech manufacturered, powder coated and donated 2 x large planters to the Friends of Swanpool Park in Stourbridge. A project that our Director David is proudly part of. We’re passionate about giving back and supporting our local communities.
🔎🌟ISO 9001 pass - in July, we passed our ISO 9001:2015 quality audit with flying colours! 🌈 well done Catherine and the whole team. A quality system only works when everyone plays their part.
⚙️⚡️ NEW LASER! ⚡️⚙️
In August Sponmech invested in a brand-new laser cutting machine! 🚀
This is a fantastic step forward for us and means we’ll be able to offer even faster turnaround times and very short lead times for our customers.
More capacity, greater efficiency, and the ability to get your projects moving faster than ever. 🔥
We can’t wait to put our new machine to work!

👨💼We have a new(ish) Technical Estimator called Richard. He actually started with us back in February! Alongside MD David, that’s who you’ll hear from when making an enquiry with us. Please give Richard a warm (belated) welcome! 👏
🪚We have invested in a brand new saw with increased capacity to cut larger box sections! Our excellent and longstanding Sawman Bish has trained one of our latest employees (Ben) on Saw operations.
❤️We had a freshen up and painted the offices! Big thanks to our trusted painter and decorator Sue! 🎨
🧺New picnic benches installed, thanks to Luke @ Accessafe for getting this sorted.
👨🏭🔨🔧🔩 Our fabricators, office staff, install team, fitters and managers have all been working super hard in hot weather between staff holidays, juggling childcare, caring for loved ones, and more, so thank you all!
🚐❤️🧡💛Oh - also - if we didn’t already say - we had our electric van wrapped! Big thanks to Jack & Hannah @ Ultimate Wraps!
💸 Planning for the future starts now!
We had the wonderful Kate from Neale & Co. join us to chat all things pensions! 🗣️
We wanted to make sure our employees understand their options and have the knowledge they need to start planning for the future.
A big thank you to Kate for sharing her expertise and helping our team feel more confident about their pension planning! 🙌

New machines are fantastic. But your people are everything.
If you see someone doing a good job, tell them. 👏 You could change someone’s day.
And if you see someone who isn’t doing such a good job… support them. Talk to them. Don’t leave it for later. ✌️
A little encouragement, a kind word, or a conversation in private at the right time can make a bigger difference than you realise.
You never truly know what someone is going through, so always, be kind.
