Recently, Crossway had the pleasure of supporting Overbury at Goodison Park by designing and installing a 6m x 4m event stage complete with a GRP access step for the event.

While we’re well known for delivering complex scaffolding solutions, our capabilities extend far beyond construction projects. From temporary event structures and stages to bespoke access solutions, we can provide safe, practical and professional installations tailored to a wide range of requirements.

We’re proud to have played a small part in supporting such an important event, helping to create a space where people could come together to raise awareness of mental health and wellbeing.

We are pleased to have successfully installed a temporary pedestrian footbridge at Wales High School, designed to maintain the safe and effective access and segregation of pupils and construction traffic throughout the project duration.

Constructed using Layher Ltd (UK)’s Allround bridging system, the 16M bridge structure provides a 5M vehicle clearance while delivering a robust access solution suited to the demands of a live school environment. The modular nature of the Layher system enabled a streamlined installation whilst maintaining the flexibility required to accommodate the site’s specific operational requirements.

Key features of the footbridge include:
• GRP walkway and stair treads, providing a durable and non-slip pedestrian surface
• Solid panel hoarding to improve security, and minimise visual disruption within the school environment
• Warm-to-touch handrails to improve comfort and accessibility during colder conditions

Continuous improvement remains central to our approach. Each bridge installation provides valuable insight that allows us to further refine and adapt our services to meet the evolving requirements of our clients and the environments in which we operate.

Our thanks go to Matt Dyson and his team for their professionalism and hard work throughout the project.

Following our recent update, we’re pleased to confirm that the 42m temporary cable bridge has now been successfully installed.
This was made possible by the expertise of our highly skilled PTS scaffolders, who delivered the works safely, efficiently, and to a high standard within a complex rail environment.
We remain committed to developing our operatives, ensuring they have the skills, training, and capabilities required to meet the demands of critical infrastructure projects. This commitment enables us to consistently deliver reliable and practical temporary works solutions for our clients.
A great team effort from everyone involved. 🛠️🚆

At Ridgewood School, Doncaster, we’ve successfully delivered two temporary roof structures spanning an impressive 24m and 23m respectively, for our valued client BAM UK & Ireland on the DfE School Rebuilding Programme. The works form part of a larger ongoing redevelopment/refurbishment of the school estate delivering exceptional facilities for both Secondary and Post-16 students.
Temporary roofs like these play a vital role in the construction, providing essential weather protection and allowing roofing works to be carried out safely and efficiently.
Working within a live school environment always brings its own set of challenges, from strict safety considerations to minimising disruption. Add in the unpredictable winter-to-spring weather, and the use of roof sheets becomes even more critical, but we’re proud to say both structures have been installed to an exceptional standard.
A huge credit goes to our operatives on site for their professionalism and high-quality workmanship throughout.

Park Grange, Sheffield, where we have successfully delivered access solutions to support façade remediation works across multiple terrace housing / apartment blocks for Wates Property Services.

Working within a live residential environment brings its own challenges, and our team has taken great care to ensure minimal disruption while maintaining a safe, efficient, and considerate site.

Open communication and a positive approach have been key to keeping residents and stakeholders informed and reassured throughout the project.

Thank you Evo 8 - Creative & Marketing Agency for capturing these images so brilliantly and allowing us to share the progress of our work.
