Steph and I really enjoyed overhauling this commercial installation, it was so satisfying improving and bringing this up to standard.

It involved rewiring the 200A bus bar chamber that fed other parts of a large complex and improving the BMS control integration.

Printable heat shrink tubing is now an obsession thanks to 🤣😁👍

The client today was fortunate that we caught this fault on some downlight wiring at the stage we did before it got nasty! This is the direct result of unqualified tradesmen carrying out work in a kitchen.

This stresses the importance of using qualified and registered electricians for any work that you may need - no matter how seemingly minor - and ensuring that five year electrical inspections are carried out regularly.

We upgraded automation controls on a commercial property earlier this week.

The old setup had been added to over the years and suffered from water ingres, completely rusting away one of the boxes!

It resulted in having a much neater, clearer setup ready for easy maintenance in the future

Consumer unit upgrade in Chelmsford last week as part of ongoing work. Fantastic RCBO board with surge protection supplied by local company SBS Trade Sales

We massively improved the fire and electrical safety of the landlords property.

This week we've been working on an existing set of steel gates locally. The brick piers were cracking and crumbling from the weight and strain from the heavy gates. Reducing gaps on the hinge ends of the gates were unsafe with no protection. The automation controls were in a total mess and was down to the original shoddy install - unfortunately something we see on a regular basis. Before and after pictures

We installed 6 x 6 steel posts directly behind the existing piers, new automation, controls, exit loop sensor, 4G AES video intercom. The existing gates needed some modifications to ensure they ran correctly on the new automation and hinge setup. Drive reinstated and made good, even parts of the loose brick piers have been relaid and pointed up!

All work was completed successfully on time, on budget with the expert help of Steve from Fridaywood Gates and Darren.
