ND Civils and Groundworks Ltd are looking for experienced Groundworkers to join us on a housing development site in the Staveley area. Immediate start available.

Responsibilities
- Install drainage runs (foul and surface water), including bedding, laying, and backfilling to construction drawings.
- Carry out kerbing, flagging, block paving, and general hard landscaping works.
- Concreting works including oversite, foundations, and setting formwork.
- Dig and prepare service trenches, working alongside machine operators and banksmen.
- Use hand and power tools safely and competently.
- Follow all Health & Safety procedures, including exclusion zones and safe systems of work.
- Work within confined spaces where required, following safe systems of work.
- Collaborate with Site Managers and foremen to meet programme requirements.

Qualifications

- Valid Blue CSCS Card (or higher) as a minimum.
- Confined Space training (Medium Risk) preferred.
- CPCS or NPORS ticket for dumper and/or roller would be an advantage.
- Prior experience on groundworks and drainage projects.
- Ability to read and work from construction drawings.
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety on site.
- Strong teamwork ethic and attention to detail.
- Full UK driving licence preferred (for travel to site).

ND Civils and Groundworks Ltd are looking for an experienced Machine Operator to join us on a housing development site in the Staveley area. Immediate start available.

Responsibilities
- Operate tracked excavators ranging from 5t to 13t machines.
- Carry out muck-away, dig and lay drainage runs, reduce level dig, and general groundworks as per construction drawings.
- Work closely with the banksman and ground workers to ensure safe, efficient excavation.
- Follow all Health & Safety procedures, including exclusion zones and safe systems of work.
- Carry out daily pre-start checks on plant and report any defects to the Site Manager.
- Collaborate with Site Managers and foremen to meet programme requirements.

Qualifications
- Valid CPCS or NPORS card for 360 Excavator (above 10t and/or below 10t as appropriate).
- CSCS logo present on CPCS/NPORS card (or separate valid CSCS card).
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety on site.
- Prior experience operating on groundworks and drainage projects.
- Ability to read and work from construction drawings.
- Strong teamwork ethic and attention to detail.
- Full UK driving licence preferred (for travel to site).

New machine day today from Hitachi HCMUK 👍.
ND Civils investing in more new equipment again.
We’ve decided to go for the 65 usb and the new 95 usb to add to our fleet 💪
We have also fitted the saftey shield system again to the 9 tonner that notifies the driver of anyone in the work zone. Which makes for a safer place for our staff.

Looking forward to seeing them out on site.

We are looking for a full time Experienced HGV Class 1 driver to drive our Artic wagon.
We are an extremely busy Groundworking Company with sites all over the North West area. Our wagons service our sites by delivering aggregates, muck away and moving our plant and machinery.
Duties are varied as this Artic has three trailers:
 Low loader for plant moves up to STG02
 Tipping / Ejector Trailers
Over 5 years experience in driving 44T wagons is essential together with experience in moving plant. We will offer training on the use of all three trailers at induction.
The role will include:
 Moving our plant and equipment to sites and suppliers
 Delivering aggregates to our sites
You will be expected to keep you wagon and trailers clean, tidy and looked after as though its your own.
The following qualifications are needed:
 Up to date CPC driver hours
 Epic card for quarry work
It would also be desirable to hold the following:
 NPORS Plant Loader & Securer or equivalent
 NPORS Plant Mover or equivalent
We are FORS bronze accredited so it will be necessary to go on periodic training courses to maintain our standards.
We expect our drivers to be fully aware of their responsibilities for all driver standards including: working time and driver hours, tacho rules, driver safety checks, wheel torquing etc. All our the standards will form part of the driver induction.
A full clean UK driving licence is essential.
You will be expected to complete daily paperwork noting the works you have carried out each day. Other paperwork will include: daily walk round checks, defect tickets, tip tickets etc.
Job Offer:
Our working hours are Monday to Friday. Start time approx 6am.
(We may need you to work an occasional Saturday. There may be the odd night out if required, however this is very rare)
Competitive rates of pay, discussed at interview stage and depending on experience.
You will need to be a team member as flexibility within the role may be needed.
Phone and Digital Tacho Machine in the Artic for work purposes.
A satisfactory medical certificate confirming fitness to drive will be needed, but certain health checks including eye site will be required at induction.
