A busy morning helping our friends at Fire & Flow Sauna get ready for a busy weekend of events. 🔥

We fitted a new starter motor to keep them reliable and ready for the road, along with completing the towbar, towbar wiring installation and carrying out full testing to make sure everything was working exactly as it should.

Of course, no job would be complete without a visit from the supervisor for the day... 🐱 The van inspector was out with us making sure standards were maintained (mostly by demanding attention and finding the comfiest spot in the van!).

1994 DAF 45 130 Turbo powered by the reliable Cummins 5.9 engine.

📞 Messaged at 10:30pm on Friday night regarding a worrying clicking noise from a Renault Kangoo whilst driving.

The customer was down from Yorkshire visiting family and needed the van back on the road by midday Saturday. After trying several garages without success due to the short timeframe, they gave us a call.

At Aim Engineering, we pride ourselves on getting customers back up and running as quickly as possible and taking on the jobs that others simply can't fit in.

Luckily, the customer was staying locally, so by lunchtime we had diagnosed the fault as one split CV joint with dirt ingress and another with a failed joint. Two new driveshafts were sourced, supplied and fitted, getting the van back on the road with time to spare.

No cancelled plans, no recovery truck, no extended stay away from home – just a fast diagnosis, quick turnaround and another happy customer back on their way. ✅
