If you want to save some or all of the fuel price rise.

Don't have your room thermostat in the hallway, it should be in the room you spend all your time usually the living room. That room should not have a thermostatic radiator valve at least on one radiator.

You should get rid of your mechanical room thermostat and buy a more accurate digital room thermostat.

If you have a room thermostat in the hall and you think its difficult to move, get an electrician or heating engineer to disconnect it at the boiler and fit an RF version (no wires)

All other rooms should have working thermostatic radiator valves.

Just the above can save you 25% of your fuel bills.

If you want to save more get rid of that old boiler and have a High Efficiency Boiler fitted. If your old boiler is an old cast iron one you can save another 25% if its an old wall mounted you will probably save another 10%

All money you are putting in the dustbin.
