Coronavirus COVID-19 Measure & Procedures

Due to the current risks associated with COVID-19, Amberdale has implemented the following actions:

• Advice and training to all members of staff is being given on the best methods and procedures to prevent spread of the virus, this includes posters being displayed to heighten the awareness of COVID-19 and minimise the potential risk of the virus being contracted or spread on site.
• All staff members are being requested to self-isolate should they feel that they are suffering from the symptoms of COVID-19.
• Existing hand washing regime has been strengthened, along with the regular use of anti-bacterial hand sanitiser.
• Extra cleaning has been put in place, of areas of high contact, such as the canteen, toilets and door handles.
• Any unnecessary or non-urgent customer, supplier and contractor visits to site have been, or will be, cancelled or postponed.

We are an essential supplier, supplying packaging to the food and medical sectors. In order to minimise the impact that the virus may have on our customers, the following are in place and have been implemented:

• Our production plant is fully operational and we are able to provide our customers with their regular and new requirements
• Each department at Amberdale has multi-skilled personnel capable of covering colleagues during illness and/or holidays.
• Senior staff are able to multi-task within the business to provide additional cover during illness and/or holidays.
• Staff are segregated where possible, office staff in separate offices and factory staff are practising the social distancing rule of 2 metres.
• PPE provided – gloves and face masks to be worn in production and warehouse.
• We are in constant contact with material suppliers to ensure continuous supply. We hold ample stocks of raw materials to cover production for up to two months.
• Customer stock holding can be increased if required in the short term to ensure adequate and continued supply of product.

Amberdale Manufacturing Limited – Accounts Vacancy

A brand new, part time, role has become available for an Accounts Officer to work for a leading food packaging manufacturer, based in Harlow. We fully appreciate that finance is an integral department in every business and, with our continued growth, we are looking for a candidate with a positive approach and a can – do attitude to join our tight knit team.

Key Responsibilities will include but are not limited to

Carrying out weekly and monthly payroll function for 40 employees
· Managing month end process, involving monthly balance sheet reconciliations and P&L analysis; including the preparation of any relevant journals
· Preparing and submitting VAT Returns
· Sales and Purchase Ledger
· Banking and Bank Reconciliation
· Management of Auto Enrolment Pension Scheme

Systems and Experience

· Ideally you will possess experience using both Sage 200 and Sage 50 Payroll
· A solid understanding of the accounts process is required and the ability to demonstrate a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
· This position will suit a candidate with a strong team ethic, who is keen to work with a likeminded and supportive group of colleagues. You will also have experience of working under your own initiative and being able to communicate clearly and concisely at all levels.

Our hours of business are Monday to Friday, 08.45am to 17.15pm, however, as this new position is offered on a part time basis, we are open to negotiate a mutually suitable arrangement.
