We secured planning approval and discharged planning conditions for Monk Park Farm new animal barn which has just been completed!
🐮🐰🐹🐷 Our New Animal Barn is Officially OPEN! 🐷🐮🐹🐰
Just in time for the school holidays ☀️ — after plenty of hard work (and a few finishing touches still to come) — our brand-new Animal Barn is open and already full of happy animals!
This much bigger indoor space means:
✅ More room for our animals to move around
✅ Easier animal rotation, so you’ll see different faces each visit
✅ A better experience on busy days, with less crowding
✅ Perfect cover when the weather isn’t on our side
We’ve also created new, improved enclosures for our smaller animals — giving them more space and allowing us to bring in even more furry friends for you to meet!
Our new In & Out system helps everyone flow through the barn, with separate doors and handwashing stations on exit — so you can enjoy your visit and stay safe. 😊
👀 Keep an eye out over the next few weeks for some exciting tweaks… including a brand-new Goat Bridge (it’ll make sense when you see it — promise!)
🐮 Our four big Highland cows now have a permanent daytime paddock, right next to the barn, so you’ll get an even closer look at these gentle giants.
🦘 Wallaby Walkthrough — now open! Wander around their enclosure (on the path, of course) and spot our wallabies up close — including three adorable new joeys!
🚻 And yes… we’ve finally opened our new toilet block! It may not be glamorous, but doubling our toilet capacity was well overdue. You’ll now find them right next to the barn — no more treks back through the shop when you need to spend a penny (see what we did there? 🤣)
