This week, members of our Sales Team visited Polegate Primary School to take part in their Modern Foreign Languages Event.

They had the opportunity to speak to all of the Year 5 classes, sharing how they use their language skills in their day-to-day roles while supporting customers and colleagues around the world. As part of a global business, our team highlighted the important role that languages play in building relationships, communicating across cultures, and supporting international customers.

The team also talked about their own career journeys, explaining how they got into their current roles and how speaking multiple languages has created opportunities and benefited them both professionally and personally.

It was a fantastic opportunity to inspire the next generation and demonstrate the real-world value of learning languages in an increasingly connected global workplace.

EMEIA Wellness Week 2026

At Kurt J. Lesker, we believe that employee wellbeing is key to both personal and organisational success. In addition to embedding wellbeing into our daily culture, each year we enhance this focus and dedicate a week to promoting physical health and mental wellbeing.

This year across EMEIA employees had the opportunity to step away from their desks and take part in a variety of wellness activities across the UK and Germany, including Yoga, Zumba, digital detox, wellness breakfast, wellbeing walks, NHS health checks for over 40s and attend presentations from our benefits/insurance providers.

The week provided a fantastic opportunity to get moving, enjoy some fresh air, recharge, learn something new, and take time to focus on personal wellbeing both during and after the working day.

A huge thank you to everyone who participated. Here's to prioritising our wellbeing, together!

Team Building in Hastings Old Town

Our EMEIA Sales Team recently spent the day exploring Hastings Old Town with an action packed team building challenge hosted by Hunt Fun.

Split into groups, the teams made their way through the Old Town completing tasks, answering local, general knowledge and Lesker history questions, and taking on fun activity checkpoints. Every correct answer and completed task earned points on a live scoreboard, plus there were Custard Pies to launch at rival teams and umbrellas for defense. Strategy was everything.

Across the challenge, teams covered 3.6 miles while collaborating, problem solving and discovering the best of Hastings. For our non local colleagues, it was the perfect way to explore the area and learn something new along the way.

Eco Dash 5K 2026: Supporting Community Wellbeing

The 2026 Eco Dash 5K brought KJLC and Syensqo together with a shared focus on sustainability and community wellbeing. This year, 201 participants took part, choosing to run or walk and covering a combined 623.1 miles.

Working with Syensqo, the event showed how coming together can make a real difference locally. This includes support for the Atlanta Community Food Bank and the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank, helping people access essential food as costs rise.

Thanks to Syensqo for the arrangement, coordination, and support of the event, and thank you to everyone who took part.
