About the Role:
Booker & Best Ltd are looking to appoint a skilled and experienced Carpenter to join our busy and responsive maintenance team. The role involves delivering day-to-day carpentry repairs and maintenance services to clients within the social housing sector across the Sussex area.

You will be responsible for providing a high-quality, efficient service, working in occupied properties and ensuring all work is completed safely, professionally, and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities:
• Carry out a wide range of carpentry repairs and maintenance tasks
• Diagnose faults and implement effective repair solutions
• Work efficiently within a responsive maintenance team
• Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in line with health and safety regulations
• Maintain clean and safe working environments in occupied properties
• Accurately record work completed and communicate with office staff and clients
• Deliver excellent customer service when interacting with residents

Essential Skills & Experience
• Proven experience as a Carpenter within maintenance or similar environment
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Full UK driving licence
• Willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check

Booker & Best Ltd are looking to appoint an experienced Glazing Engineer / Multitrade Operative to join our growing repairs and maintenance team. The role will involve carrying out day-to-day glazing and joinery-related repairs across occupied residential and commercial properties.
You will be responsible for delivering a high-quality, right-first-time service, working safely in live environments and representing the company professionally at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out glazing repairs, including re-glazing of single and double-glazed units
• Repair and replace hinges, handles, locks, mechanisms, and restrictors
• Undertake repairs to timber and PVCu windows and doors
• Diagnose faults and provide effective repair solutions where replacement is not required
• Ensure work areas are left clean, safe, and secure after completion
• Accurately complete job records using handheld devices or job sheets
• Liaise professionally with residents, clients, and office staff Essential Skills & Experience
• Proven experience as a Glazing Engineer or Multitrade Operative

🎄✨ A LITTLE CHRISTMAS KINDNESS ✨🎄

Christmas can be a difficult time for many people and this year we wanted to do something small to help where we can.

You may spot our truck out and about over the coming weeks, lit up with Christmas lights, with a sleigh and reindeer along for the ride. The sleigh wont just be for show, it will be filled with food hampers to share with people who may need a little extra support this Christmas.
