This is a project for a loft conversion for two storey semi – detached house in Hayes, London.
This is a typical loft conversion with second floor formed in steel beams and floor joists in between. The roof is formed in steel ridge beam and flat roof joists. The steel ridge beam is bearing on a steel post (100 x 100 x 10.0 mm – Grade SHS 275) on one side and new block wall on the other side.
There are two roof lights to the front side of the property.
The dormer is formed in 50 x 100 mm studs @ 400mm centers (Grade C24). The structural drawings and calculations were submitted and approved by Building Control and the building works were finished in approximately two months time.

Princess Park Lane
This is a project for a one-storey rear extension for two-storey semi – detached house in Hayes, London. This is a typical 6 meters one storey rear extension. The ground floor is formed in 150mm thick reinforced concrete ground bearing slab reinforced with one layer of A252 mesh in top throughout.
The foundations are 600mm wide eccentric and concentric mass concrete trench footings with minimum depth of 1000mm from ground level. The roof is formed in flat roof joists bearing on timber plate, steel beam B1 and a cavity wall.
In this project, the challenge was building over the main sewer pipe. For this purpose we have designed bridge detail for both sides of the extension. The structural plans were submitted to Thames Water and the building over the sewer pipe was approved. Also, the structural drawings and calculations were submitted and approved by Building Control.
The building works were finished in approximately three months time.

Steel Staircase
This is a project for an outdoor steel staircase for a four storey semi – detached house in London.
We have been asked by our client Tom to provide structural drawings and structural calculations for the outdoor steel staircase.
He wanted to add additional 5 mm thick marble tiles on the existing steel staircase which means additional load on the existing staircase and supports.
We did the calculation package and there was a need of additional steel post and steel supports to the existing staircase (shown on drawing 01).
The structural drawings and calculations were submitted and approved by Building Control.
The building works were finished in less than one month.

This is a typical 2 meters one storey side extension. The ground floor is formed in 150mm thick reinforced concrete ground bearing slab reinforced with one layer of A252 mesh in top throughout.

This is a project for a loft conversion and a porch for two storey semi – detached house in Hayes, London.

We have been asked by our client Bogdan to do site visits during the construction of the loft conversion and the porch so he is sure that the building works are going according to the structural plans and calculations and the materials grades and sizes are according to the plans.

We did three site visits during the construction. The loft conversion and the porch were successfully finished in three months time.
