An interesting job we were asked to rectify. The client had previously employed another firm to try and sort out water ingress above the window by repointing the gable above. Not the best of work and it did not solve the problem!
However we removed the existing brick soldier course and removed all the debris from the cavity, replaced the cavity tray and cleaned off any rust and repainted the RSJ. We replaced the Soldier Course with new Weep Vents and Brickwork. We also cleaned off the mortar staining on the gable (as best that we could) that had previously been repointed.
As to date no more water is getting in 🙂

A small garage conversion for a lovely family in Fareham.
We have made this rather small area into a single bedroom with a shower room with a toilet and also incorporating a utility area for a washing machine and tumble dryer.
All was built to the current Building Regulations so fully insulated.
Finished off on the outside with 'Evening Blue' cladding...a nice new addition to the house.

This was a contract that we completed for another local Building Contractor in 2024.
A much needed total refurbishment to this 1 Bedroom Bungalow on Hayling Island. Adding a 50m² extension to the rear, creating a lounge and kitchen area and a shower room and totally upgrading the existing property to a nice 2 Bedroom dwelling.
