Sinclair & Jones Building Contractors Limited are looking for someone to join our hardworking and dynamic team. We are a Sussex based building company that specializes in new builds, extensions, loft conversions and all other building services. These include bathrooms, kitchens, refurbishments and property maintenance.
We are looking for a highly skilled, experienced multi tradesman to join our busy and growing work force.
We will provide you with a company uniform and access to work vehicles during the working day.
The successful candidate will need to be a polite and well presented individual who can work well in a team. The applicant will possess a high work ethic and attitude and will carry out various trades in residential properties while assisting with larger construction projects as and when required.
Key Responsibilities:
Construction Expertise: Utilize your extensive knowledge and experience to perform a wide range of construction tasks, including but not limited to carpentry, painting & decorating, tiling, masonry, basic plumbing, basic electrical work.
Project Coordination: If required to do so, will be able to oversee and coordinate construction projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
Problem Solving: Demonstrate a proactive approach to problem-solving, addressing issues that may arise during construction projects and finding effective solutions.
Material Management: Efficiently manage and optimize the use of construction materials, ensuring cost-effectiveness and minimal wastage.
Compliance and Safety: Adhere to all safety regulations and building codes, ensuring a secure working environment for yourself and others on the site.
Client Communication: Maintain clear and professional communication with clients, addressing any concerns and providing updates on project progress.
Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other construction professionals, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure seamless project ex*****on.
Requirements:
Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in the construction industry.
Driving licence and reliable transportation
Proven expertise in various construction tasks
Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and safety protocols.
Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects from start to finish.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Pay will be dependent on experience and skill set.
Working hours 830-1700 Monday-Friday.
