This property had a severely deteriorated firewall with failed render, damaged masonry, allowing water to pe*****te the structure and cause ongoing issues.

✅ Rebuilt and repaired damaged masonry where required

🔨 Job completed following our recent inspection in Bexhill 🔨

Following our initial inspection, we identified that the existing mortar had reached the end of its lifespan and was beginning to fail.

We’ve now completed the works, ensuring everything is brought back up to a strong, secure, and long-lasting standard.

⚒️Another job underway following our recent inspection.⚒️

We identified that the existing mortar had reached the end of its lifespan. During the ridge strip off, it was clear the mortar was crumbling away. Fortunately, the ridge tiles had been mechanically fixed, which helped keep everything secure.

Scope of works:
• Re-bed both hips at the rear and the ridge line
• Install mechanical fixings to current standards for added durability and safety

All works are being carried out to ensure a strong, long-lasting roofing system.

🔨 Uckfield Masonic Hall – Job Completed 🔨

Another roof brought back to life by Sky Shield Roofing ✅

What we tackled:
• 250+ broken & blown tiles replaced
• Ridge line re-bedded using a traditional lime mix

Now here’s where it got interesting…
Every single tile was double nailed 😅 — something we only discovered once we got stuck in!

Not the easiest job — but with persistence (and a lot of graft 💪), we got it done properly and built to last.

⚒️Another job completed after being called out to a property that was suffering from ongoing leaks around the firewalls.⚒️

On inspection we found the render had blown in multiple areas, several soakers had split or slipped, and there were broken slates around the roof – all allowing rainwater to get in.

To resolve the issue we carried out the following works:

• Hacked off all blown render
• Replaced all felt and batten along the firewall areas, running three rafters back to ensure the roof was properly protected
• Renewed all soakers
• Re-rendered all firewalls and the chimney
• Renewed the chimney flaunching to secure the pots and prevent water ingress
• Removed moss followed by a full treatment
• Installed a dry ridge system with new ridge tiles to allow the roof to vent correctly
• Once the render had cured, we applied an acrylic liquid roofing solution to all firewalls and the chimney for additional protection
• Replaced the rear fascia due to rot

The roof is now fully sealed, protected, and ventilated as it should be.

Another happy customer and another roof ready to face the weather.

This roof was slowly being destroyed by moss…

Moss might look harmless, but over time it can cause serious damage to your roof.

We first attended this property back in December to repair a leaking gulley. While carrying out the repair, we noticed extreme moss and vegetation growth spreading across the roof.

The homeowner called us back to get the problem sorted before it caused further damage.

Our work included:

• Full manual moss removal
• Biocide treatment to prevent regrowth
• Installation of a new 3-layer felt flat roof system
• Invisible bird deterrent mesh fitted to stop seagulls nesting in their favourite spot

The result: a clean, protected roof and a happy homeowner.

If your roof is covered in moss or showing signs of leaks, it’s always best to deal with it early before it becomes a bigger problem.
