🎄 Somehow it didn’t seem right to get to this time of the year and not do our usual KHC Christmas post!

At least you can all breath a sigh of relief, you dont have me or Laura working out your Christmas holidays and wages this year! 😬

No need to recap this year, but I do want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and so much love for the New Year.
Thank you all so much, for all the years of absolute chaos, for the highs, lows and some bloody good laughs along the way! You will never be forgotten.

Safe to say I probably won’t work anywhere ever again where my daily conversations are “you gobby bitch” or “you stuck up cow” 😂 Even those people might be missed a little bit!

Nearly 11 months ago now I wrote to our MP to seek advice, support and highlight the issues (not just of KHC) but many companies specifically in the construction industry.
Only yesterday did I receive a reply asking to be involved, an update on our situation and how they could help. The update they received was the most devastating email I’ve ever written, but I’m really hoping that off the back of that something can be done to help others in the future.
Smaller companies are not just employees they become like family and should be protected 💪🏼

🚧 Unfortunately it has come to our attention that the yard has been entered without our permission and items have been stolen, vans and containers have also been opened, presumably looking for anything not nailed down!
Please be aware not only do we have CCTV, every item in that yard is logged and accounted for.
We are reviewing our footage and the police will be informed.
The very worst of opportunists and we will not tolerate such behaviour or disrespect 🚧

The smallest member of the KHC team has been in hospital again. Just a quick one to all suppliers, subbies and clients alike- Normal service will resume it’s just going to take a little bit longer than usual!

Probably not typically quoted but regardless, In the words of Charles Bronson-

“You’ve got to cut a little piece of yourself off no matter how much it hurts in order to grow”

Well It seems like KHC did a lot of chopping in 2024! And If you have lasted this year in particular then we salute you because let’s just say…it’s been a tricky one🫡

Seriously though, KHC is all about you guys out there on site and we thank each and every one of you for getting us through another year, we literally couldn’t do any of it without you!

With that, it’s nearly time to have a very Merry Christmas and after some much needed rest we can’t wait to see you in 2025 🥂🎄🥃😘
