The journey doesn’t end when video reaches the broadband network.

The next session in SCTE’s IBC 2026 Owners Session brings together Ian Nock, Ian Challinor, Ruben Senor-Megias and Erik Søe-Pedersen for “Future of TV: The Challenge of Video in the Last 10 metres.”

Getting video to the edge of broadband networks is just one part of the challenge. The final connection into the home brings its own complexities as television increasingly moves to IP delivery.

This session will explore the role of broadband, Wi-Fi, connected devices and smarter technology in creating a reliable and seamless viewing experience.

The future of TV is increasingly internet-based — but can the networks keep up?

The next session in SCTE’s IBC 2026 Owners Session brings together Ian Nock, Xavier Leclercq, Dan Racioppa, Saher Salem and Emma Whitmore for “The Impact of Total Internet TV – Augmenting the Pipes.”

The discussion will explore how broadband networks can evolve to support large-scale video delivery, looking at emerging and evolving technologies including Multicast ABR, Media over QUIC, Peer-to-Peer technologies and L4S.

The panel will also consider how changing viewing habits, from as-live television to on-demand and creator-led content, are reshaping the demands placed on video delivery infrastructure.
