It’s not often you’re asked to move a hyperbaric oxygen tank across the country.

A recent job for Cre8ic Ltd saw us picking up and transporting one, along with two saunas, from a spa location in Kensington London all the way to Middlesborough.

Thankfully the spa units had been taken apart and flatpacked and the oxygen tank could be wheeled onto the vehicle.

For this job we used No. 18, an 18 tonne curtain-sider with tail-lift and were able to load and transport over two days, with the pick up on one and the journey to Middlesborough the next day.

We are saying farewell to our faithful No. 6 this week.

The artic has been a part of our fleet for over seven years and has been well loved by our driver Nathan.

He is now driving a new soon to be revealed artic, while No. 6 is getting ready to head off to a port in Cheshire for a new home abroad.

Thanks for the time on the road No. 6.

Our driver Jackson has been out and about snapping his lorry at different sites around London on two different jobs for our customer Biffa.

Our lorry is looking decidedly yellow next to the red vehicles of the Royal Mail at Gatwick.

And while on a job collecting waste from a large cement company on the Greenwich peninsula it had a clear view of the London skyline as well as the O2 arena.

Have you seen any of our vehicles out and about on the road recently?

With our varied fleet we can be at many different places across the UK in any one day.

So it was nice to hear that a new customer had reached out to us after seeing our vehicles come and go on their business park.

Orlando Refrigeration, an air conditioning and refrigeration company, contacted us after seeing us collect equipment from a nearby company.

On this occasion we were pleased to be able to transport and deliver equipment from their Bourne End site in Hemel to a company over in Hatfield.

Our megalift was put to good use recently for our new customer Bentonite, a family run business based in Kent supplying customers with bentonite and foam concrete products and materials.

We were asked to transport an ISO frame containing specialist equipment across two different building sites within Wi******er. The sites themselves were only one mile apart and we were able to transport the frame from one to the other.

The Megalift trailer is designed to lift and transport ISO containers ranging from 20ft, 30ft, 40ft and 45ft. It has a lifting capacity of up to 35 tonnes and can handle two 20ft ISO containers simultaneously.

The trailer is equipped with two cranes, one mounted at the front and one at the rear, allowing for efficient loading and unloading from the off-side of the trailer.

The Benonite container was 30ft in size and was easily loaded onto the trailer and unloaded onto site by the driver using the remote control.

You never know what you're going to see when you're out and about on the road.

As our driver Nathan travelled to Meldorf in Germany for our customer Marlowe Digital, he spotted a murmuration of geese as he crossed the Elbe River using the Wischhafen ferry.

Always keen to take pictures on the road he was able to snap the video from inside the cab.

Two of our drivers had a week long round trip to Meldorf in Germany a couple of weeks ago for our customer Marlowe Digital.

Brian and Nathan were both driving articulated units complete with our 13.6m curtain sided tail lift trailers. After a complex loading plan for the equipment, each trailer was completely filled from front to back with Computer to Plate Print Systems. The space was so tight on this job that one pallet needed to be placed on its side to gain an extra 30cm for everything to fit in.

The boys covered over 1500 miles, travelling on four ferries, staying two nights in ferry cabins and two nights in their cabs as they navigated the different roads and autobahns.

We worked again with Motis who booked the ferries and also dealt with the customs documentation and procedures. Even with all this forward planning there was still an overnight delay as the return ferry was cancelled due to tidal changes.

After a return ferry from Cuxhaven to Immingham in Hull the boys were back on the road again, travelling back to base late Friday evening, before a journey up to Wellingborough the following Monday to deliver the goods.

Well done Brian and Nathan, for a good job done.

Where do you buy your coffee?

We have been going local and supporting Smiths Coffee based in Apsley in Hemel who have been roasting coffee since 1936.

We have currently been enjoying their organic decaffeinated ground coffee.

Have you spotted us out on the road recently?

We do turn up in all sorts of places and here's just a few from recent months;

1. A job for Johnson Matthey in Middlesborough requiring 5 of our vehicles

2. A trip to Newcastle for Morgana (now Plockmatic Group) with a quick stop off at the Angel of the North

3. Collecting waste safes for Biffa at the Galloper Wind Farm in Harwich Essex.

Thanks to our driver Jackson who managed to pop out and get a shot each time.
