When we’re talking to new customers, we’re often asked questions that are pretty difficult to answer succinctly, or over the phone. For example, a question we were asked recently was, “How much do you charge to fill a 1 litre bottle?”
It’s a simple question, and you’d hope for a simple answer. But the reality is that there are too many variables involved to respond without any further investigation. At the end of the day, the cost largely comes down to the time it takes to fill. And that’s hugely dependant on factors such as viscosity, temperature, foaming and batch size for example.
So before we provide an estimate, we always ask for a sample and an MSDS data sheet. And then we confirm the type of closure needed and other important considerations such as outer box and pallet configuration, batch coding and the labelling that’s required.
Then, we can offer an accurate quotation based on a full understanding of the detail – and that means that when we do the job for you, there’ll be no nasty surprises, no unexpected costs.
No one likes having a question answered with a question – but it’s important we get the detail right!
