As we move into the shorter days with the darker mornings it’s been a good summer.

The crane spotter in me today walked round to Broadgate today to see the LR1600 shoehorned into a very narrow street for a tower crane removal.

Cranes are like game of Top Trumps.

In the past I have had a 350t Demag in that same position, then trumped it by returning with a 500t Liebherr on luffer to lift chillers to 5 Broadgate.
But the crawler in there today trumps all of them by a long way.

Hats off to a very well planned set up and rig.

Empty streets around Piccadilly and a very quiet London Underground.

Although wearing a mask on a boat in Dover Docks seems crazy looking back now.

This weekend back on the road up to Leeds to lift and install two new 30t Thermal Stores.

A tandem lift with a Grove GMK5250 & a Grove GMK5150.

The water tanks were installed as part of a successful contract lift planned over several months leading up to a weekend lift at the efinium Skeleton Grange Waste Energy Centre.

This included a very tricky route into site for the transport vehicles delivering the tanks to the lift area.
