A record-breaking success - thank you! 🌟 ♻️ 🎄

We’re thrilled to share that this year’s Christmas Tree Recycling campaign has been a tree-mendous success, raising a phenomenal £84,335! 🎉

This wouldn’t have been possible without the amazing support of our wonderful community. To everyone who donated, participated, or volunteered, we can’t thank you enough for making this the biggest campaign yet! 💙

A special shout-out to our 125 brilliant volunteers, our tree surgeons, and 55 businesses and organisations who braved the icy elements and generously gave their time, equipment, and vehicles to collect and recycle more than 4,600 Christmas trees across east Kent in just four days! 👏 🎄

Every tree recycled and every pound donated helps Pilgrims Hospices to continue providing specialist end-of-life care to those in our community. Thank you! 💙

1900 Christmas trees collected over 3 days by volunteering businesses and delivered to the Canterbury to be chipped by ourselves and taken to .cdaa and Wincheap allotments.
Reel shows around 300-350 trees being chipped Sunday afternoon.
We look forward to hearing what the Pilgrims Hospice has raised during this event.

Wet but Brilliant 1st day at chipping Christmas trees.
Around 850 trees collected today by many businesses giving up their own time driving around doing door to door collections.
A visit and interview done with
Around 700 of the 850 trees all chipped into the back of our vans (6full loads) and taken to .
Leaving around 150 left to chip in the morning.
Approximately 600 trees being collected tomorrow again by volunteering businesses.
Followed by a final 500 trees being collected on Sunday.
Making the total amount of approximately 1900-2000 trees being chipped between today through to Sunday.

So many people thanking us for what we are doing however none of this is possible without the help of the volunteering businesses who are getting the trees to us in the first place!
