The top floor brickwork was bowing, the header bricks were snapped and the pointing falling out. We repointed the area using a nhl5 lime, washed sharp sand and plastering sand, ready to install the delamination ties to tie the solid 9 inch brickwork together. We then installed lateral restraints into the floor joists.
Internally we added galvanised brackets to the underside of the ceiling joists which were fixed into the brickwork. We stitched the internal wall into the rear wall using single heli bars and finally, installed end grain bow ties into the internal stud work from the external brickwork.ππ»
