Not just more space – better space.

There was a conservatory here before. Too cold in winter, too hot in summer, and it brought that feeling into the rest of the house.

Rather than living with the compromise, we took it down and built an extension in its place – designed to meet the brief and future-proof the home. A downstairs bathroom means the ground floor works if it’s ever needed, and full landscaping to the rear and side garden brings the outside and inside together.

Brickwork on this rear and side extension is now complete, and the last of the structural steelwork went in this week — the frame that will carry the open-plan space below.

Next up: the new concrete slab goes down and the roof goes on. From here it starts to look like a room rather than a building site.

Keys handed back yesterday on our double storey side extension in Heswall.

There’s plenty more coming from this one over the next few weeks, but the heart of it is the new open plan kitchen living space. We structurally altered the existing house and opened it straight through into the new extension.

The home had a number of issues that weren’t working for the homeowners, and we resolved all of them through design before we started on site.

Our screed partners were on site at our West Kirby bungalow refurb this week, screeding the three extensions to bring the floor level in line with the rest of the property.

Underfloor heating has gone into the main living areas for extra comfort through the winter.

Plastering is now complete too, so 2nd fix joinery and decorating start next week.

Rapid progress on our Eastham project — the brickwork to the two-storey extension is now complete.

Our joiners are on site working through the roof alterations: covering in the new extension and forming two dormers as part of the upstairs remodel.

Windows have started going in, so it won’t be long before we’re watertight.
