Last Saturday, EGGER colleagues from all over the world took part in our Virtual Run/Walk to raise money for charity. 🏃🚶

EGGER donate 5€ per kilometre ran or walked by our colleagues on charity run/walk days. This makes it a great way for our employees to stay active whilst supporting a meaningful cause. 💰

In the UK we covered 444km, raising an incredible £1,588 for our headline charity Daft As A Brush, who provide cancer patients with free transport to their appointments. This gets us even closer to our goal of raising £48,000 to help fund their first electric ambulance. 🙌

Why does EGGER Forestry use drones in the forest? 🧐

Wherever possible, we combine ground surveys with aerial data to get a clear picture of forest conditions. 🌳

Parts of the forest that are due to be harvested sometimes contain storm damaged trees. To safely survey these areas, we use a drone to map the site accurately.

Up to date aerial imagery enables us to:

• safely compile an accurate inventory
• provide high quality mapping to our contractors to enhance their safety
• share information with the landowner
• evaluate work costings and timber value

We’re incredibly proud of our colleagues who took on the UK’s Three Peaks Challenge, raising over £4,000 for cancer patient care! 👏

Will, Shaun, James, Michael and Scott pushed themselves to the limit, climbing Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon in just over 22 hours for our headline charity Daft as Brush.

This forms part of our wider fundraising mission to help fund the charity's first electric ambulance, supporting Daft as Brush Cancer Patient Care in their mission to provide cancer patients with free transport to life-saving treatment. 🤝

A huge well done to the whole team, and thank you to everyone who has supported the journey so far.

Turning trees into real climate solutions. 🌳

Trees are one of nature’s most powerful climate tools. As they grow, they remove carbon dioxide (CO₂) from the atmosphere, but not all trees do this at the same rate.

Species, age and environment matter. In the UK, fast-growing trees like Sitka spruce absorb CO₂ quickly during their key growth years. As a result, well-managed forests deliver stronger climate benefits.

Sustainable forestry is about timing. Harvesting the right trees at the right moment, keeps the carbon they’ve captured locked into long-lasting timber products. Homes, buildings and everyday materials can store that carbon for decades. ⏳

And it doesn’t stop there. As timber is reused, recycled, and replaced by new growth in the forest, the cycle continues: absorbing CO₂, storing carbon, and supporting a more sustainable built environment.
