Part 2: Before and After of the rear of the property
Following on from our biggest jobs to date in Whaley bridge

Here we had some challenges as we was working along side the insulation of solar panels, certainly made some extra work but the finished look was worth all the stress and precision work put into the placement of stone slates around the framing

As to the front of the property, we graded the stone slates as removed, applied new breathable felt, batons, applied new insulation to roof space, attended to rotten timber Spars, we fitted another velux window as per supplied by the customer again new wooden Fascia and black guttering and downpipes.
The customer was having a new extension built, so we fitted all new Lead to the Valleys ,we then applied some left over stone from the main house roof but as we ran out of stone we then applied reclaimed stone slates and reclaimed ridges to the extension so it blended in to the character of the main house.

I will be calling by now the Scaffolding has all been dropped so will get some final photos of the roof now

A big well done to my son Tom for all his hard work and also my youngest son Max who came and helped out to
As a small family run business we take pride in all our work.

So we've been abit quiet on here lately as we've been absolutely rushed off our feet

This job we did last year 🙈, we forgot to post it
Here is a loft space project we helped get ready for a customer, we fitted 2 new Velux windows in there loft space ,followed by this we was asked to extend the flooring ,put up stud walls before applying new insulation .
The customer was over the moon with the transformation ,and space it created, all ready for them to carry on with the rest of the project in due course

Happy new year to all our past and present customers.
What a wonderful year we had in 2025, We was extremely busy with some rather large jobs that certainly kept myself and tom busy and with one of our big jobs that we completed during summer over in glossop for a lovely customer who came from a recommendation of a previous customer we did work for, we are very grateful to the word of mouth they have carried to pass on to others which has bought us further work for new customers 😀
Here a job we started on early summer in Glossop, completing a Full stone reroof on the property, removed a couple of the old rotten wooden Velux windows and replaced with new PVC windows, applied insulation into roof ,fitted new wooden Fascia boards and painted black, then applied all new Cast iron effect guttering and downpipes.
We also attended to the chimney stack which we repointed, the customer wished for it to be pained white again as to how it previously was and then to repoint to give it brick effect and added new lead work to base and we also grinded out and repointed to the front of the whole house and porch.

Here a reroof we have just completed in new mills, the house we reroofed in Grey Flat tiles to fit in with the neighbours
We added new fascia boards , fascia vents, felt support trays and guttering added to the property
There chimney wasn't in the best way so the old mortar was grinded out and repointed the new Flauncing applied aswell as new lead flashing applied to base of the chimney.
We used the dry ridge system when applying the new ridges to complete the work

Bit delayed posting this Reroof I completed last year for a customer in Chapel-en-le-frith
The chimney was in a bad way , so we removed the existing chimney and rebuilt it with reclaimed stone.
We reroofed the property in Grey profile tiles to match in with the neighbours.
They had replacement sofit, fascia and guttering done too

They was extremely happy with the work completed 😀

Here we have an ongoing project up in Northumberland that we started on back in sept 2024 ( only been there for a period of around 4.5 weeks upto now) that we are travelling up to do in our spare time for family member

We made a start on our 1st visit up there where we raked out the old mortar on the 1st side of the house as shown in these photos ,where we then repointed in New Lime mortar ,as you can see we haven't finished the upper wall as we are awaiting for them to have full wrap around Scaffolding put up ,which will allow us to complete the rest of it ,when we are there to do a Reroof of the property in the Spring.

We also made a start on the front of the house on another visit up there in November, which is red brick ,will have photos to add, again we raked out the old mortar and applied new Mortar

The reason they wanted us to help make a start was due to the damp issues where old mortar had fallen out and wishes to try gain some control of the situation before it got worse and also improve the look of the house.

We can't wait to travel back up there and start on the other side ,we're very lucky to be able work in such beautiful surroundings
